I'm glad I took some pictures of the Tulips in the park yesterday when the sun shone for a few hours.
I think the city must have ordered the same colours of Tulips for all the city parks because even in front of the arena the colours were white, orange, and yellow mixed.
This is our weather today. My DIL took this picture of the male Red-Winged Blackbird.
And, while we were walking I noticed the Swallows are back swooping gracefully over the lake.
Every year I watch for their return and note the date in my journal. Now it really does seem like spring is here!
Thanks for coming by,
Granny M.
Very beautiful! We have those birds they live in the Marsh here.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely the tulips look, so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteWith the tulips coming into bloom, spring is becoming more glorious every day. The cool, damp weather will help to prolong the beauty.
ReplyDeleteThose tulips are gorgeous...and I love the Red-winged blackbird...they are my harbinger of spring, more so than the robin...I guess like you and the swallows.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful display of tulips. I love how the colors match so nicely with the birdies wing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Beautiful Tulips! :) They probably got a deal on thousands of bulbs:)
ReplyDeleteI almost drove off the road yesterday, admiring those tulips! The colours are a bit of a different combination than one ueually sees.

The tulips are beautiful! and to think I've been so excited over the four tulips blooming in my yard. :)
ReplyDeleteYour Park is a happy place with those lovely tulips!
ReplyDeleteTulips are my favorite flower, but I am not able to plant them as the grey squirrels take the bulbs as quickly as I plant them and eat them. ☹
We had 6 inches of snow last night, 15 inches at the ski area, my husband said it was a WOW day on the slopes!! It feels like winter outside.
Thank you for sharing the beauty with us ~
OMG What a lovely sight... I love tulips... and how special to see the red-winged black bird already... We still have snow here in the East ... so your pictures have really inspired me... I used to live and Vanc., so know how very beautiful BC it is at this time of year.....Have a wonderful week-end...Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love to watch for red winged blackbirds in our marshy areas. I remember seeing yellow-headed blackbirds around here many years ago, but they seem to be much more rare. Yay, swallows! :)
