Sunday Walk

We went a little farther afield for our walk today. The weather was perfect for a long walk (well, long for a couple of seniors).

We walked along a road that was on a dike passing this place that boards horses. There were many small enclosures, one for each horse.

When we got back to the heron reserve we had a little picnic. There were hardly any birds to be seen.  We saw a Towhee, some Chickadees and Hummingbirds. Last visit we saw a lot more. Maybe they've already migrated although it seems a bit early.

On our way home we stopped at a farm that had corn to sell. LOTS of corn to sell!!

Now we're back and waiting for the family members that want to join in on Sunday afternoon Dominoes.

Thanks for coming by. I hope you had a good day too.

  3. What a nice place to walk. Looks so peaceful. What kind of dominoes do you play? My parents used to play something with the word "train" in the name of it when they were in Florida. Do you play every Sunday? Sounds like fun.

  5. I love that sign. It's perfect. There is a dog park at our new home place. I'm amazed at the people who don't clean up after their dogs and the park even provides the bags for free!
It looks like a lovely walking spot. We took a long, long walk yesterday with Chloe at a new to us campground. They had a dog park and a doggy trail that went about 2 miles totoal. We walkd teh entire thing!
    Blessings,

  7. Hi GM- Thank you for showing us your special part of the world. The Bird Sanctuary looks a nice place to take a stroll. Lots of Corn at the Farm-- Corn on The Cob is delicious with Butter. Enjoy your week ahead. Cheers. KEV. (Sydney-Australia).

  14. We just had grocery store corn this week. but it was pretty good.
We had a Zoom visit with Tom's siblings Sunday afternoon, and then we got to watch Sports! The Sounders are playing agin and it was fun to watch our team beat another rival.
Heron rookeries are amazing when the big birds are nesting.

  17. What a great way to spend a Sunday. You're right, that is a lot of corn on that trailer. Here we often see people parked along side the road or on a parking lot selling corn that they have in their truck boxes or even car trunks but nothing like this!
