It's a quiet weekend. The weather is quite lovely for the end of November. Our anniversary is on Monday the 30th and way back 57 years ago we had mild weather then too. And that was in Manitoba where the end of November can be very cold and snowy.
My youngest sister is an excellent seamstress ( not like me I'm afraid). Last week she sent me another lovely mask ( it's not the first one she's sent). I wanted to show you how nice it looks so I tried my hand at taking a couple of selfies.
I hope you're having a pleasant weekend. Thanks for visiting today, GM
Oohhh prettyyyyyy! I like it! Great selfie-taking, too! I cannot do a good selfie for nuthin' lol. I will say it again on Monday of course, but CONGRATULATIONS on 57 years! Woo-Hoo!
ReplyDeleteWe are having nice weather too. New mask looks great. I'm not a seamstress either and a Blogger friend made Ken and I a few.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty mask and you did great at the picture-taking too. I would like to make a few masks like that. Mine don't hug the nose and my glasses steam up everytime I go inside now that it's cold.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Great job with the selfie, I think I have yet to take one that I like. The mask looks nice, subtle Christmas pattern. I need to make some masks....
ReplyDeleteBest wishing for your anniversary! You made a fine photo! I have to say the same as Diana: I nearly never made a good selfie.
ReplyDeleteThe mask makes some good inspiration in this time of being careful because of the C-pandemie.
Stay blessed and happy, dear friend over the ocean!
Hi G.M. ....It was 100 Deg F here yesterday and to-day...the Christmas period is usually hot days. This evening (Sunday Night) it has cooled right down. I like your Sister's craft- very good. Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour mask is one of the prettiest I have seen. So nice of your sister to share her talents. Good job on the selfie.
ReplyDeleteYou did fine with the selfie...I cannot take them. The results are awful.
ReplyDeleteNice mask!
Looks good!
ReplyDeleteIt fits you well! Glad you like it, sis! I have another one ready to send you!
ReplyDeleteThat mask actually looks very pretty! And the fit looks good, too. So many gap on the sides and even crossing the ear cords doesn't help.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful, love the shape.
ReplyDeleteI do think that shape of mask is the very best. The center vertical seam keeps the mask away from the mouth and nose and makes breathing easier. And she did an excellent job on the shaping around the nose. Pretty fabric too!
ReplyDeleteBig Congratulations on 57! Years of marriage!!!🎉🎊💞🌹 and that is a really pretty mask!🤩😍🥰
ReplyDeleteThe mask is very nice. :-)))
ReplyDeleteI sew the same way and am always looking for fabric with a nice pattern ... now I'm looking for Christmas patterns ... unfortunately the fabric shops are closed.
