I wish I'd bought another of this kind of Primrose. It's Belarina which is described as " compact and long-blooming. Easy to grow." I love the very double blooms and I wish there would have been other colours to choose from. The plants I saw all had speckled flowers so I assume that's the way they're supposed to look.
Last but not least I got this little planter with 6 Pansies. I hope they'll be a variety of colours. Don't you just love the pretty faces on Pansies?
It may look like winter outside but inside I have my own little taste of spring.
Thanks for visiting, GM
They are all beautiful, but pansies are one of my favorites of all times. Seems like around here I don't see the variety that I used to see. I still love them though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. I haven't seen flowers in our garden center yet, but when I drove by today on the way to my grocery pick-up the guys were putting pre-built sheds in the parking lot which is a sure sign the hardware store is getting ready for spring sales!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
These hopeful flowers bring happiness and fine rose colour into your blessed house!
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel is so lovely! :)
The plants find a good place in your environment. They also are a kind of symbol for your heart - -
They look beautiful, really lifts your spirits. My Dad, my sister and I love going on visits to the garden centre but even though they are open we are not allowed to go together and that is half of the fun. Hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteSuch cheerful colours. I bought primulas this morning at the farm shop.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the garden center being open. Your choices are all lovely and look like just the thing to tide you through until springtime truly arrives.
ReplyDeleteOh those are so so lovely!!!! What a cheery sight!!!!
ReplyDeleteI noticed the plants in our Walmart, which had JUST been unloaded a few days before, frozen and being heaped up ready to throw into the dumpster. Unfortunately it is one of those sealed steel container dumpsters, with the opening inside the freight area. I am not above dumpster diving for plants, but foiled by the design. I guess it was a week too early here. We have such a short time for planting, between the cold and then the triple digits starting so early in the year usually. I love your choices so far. Pansies I absolutely love. And the speckled primroses are so pretty, reminds me of snow on first blooms or confetti being thrown.
ReplyDeleteNow that the snow is melting, it might be time for us to visit a garden center. My porch pots need primroses.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful especially this time of year. No melting going on here yet, still icy and snowy with more coming tonight.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute photo!!
I love this post and Happy@Home's comment above. I like the part about tiding you through until springtime..." Your choices are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou got some pretty flowers! Looks like spring to me!
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to visit a garden center and bring home some pretty flowers to tide us over until spring really begins. Those speckled primulas are lovely.
ReplyDeletePansies are favourites of mine - their sweet little faces are different on every plant :)
ReplyDeleteThat little Miss Squirrel is so cute! You really do have a knack for creating springtime in the dead of winter. The flowers are beautiful. I do love the pretty faces on Pansies.
ReplyDeleteI love the squirrel photo! Such lovely flowers! Flowers and plants just brighten any room!
ReplyDeletePansies have always been a favorite with me and I love that you have a little spring garden in your sweet home. It's a taste of wants to come :) God bless you and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful your spring flowers. I like the primrose and the violets ... so beautiful that you could shop at the garden center. Today we had a lot of sun and the temperatures are rising ... the snow has almost melted away and next week it will be 15-18 degrees - an early spring this year :-))
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel is soooo lovely :-))) I hope that we can go shopping at the gardener's in March!!!
Greetings to you. Have a happy weekend. Viola
So so pretty, and they make us all long for spring :)
