Happy Sunday!! The sun isn't shining but it's mild out and not raining. I went out with my camera to record middle of the month flowers. The big old Mock Orange is covered with flowers and more buds yet to open.
More Poppies are blooming
Spiderwort
It's time for some lunch then this afternoon we'll play Dominoes as usual. We'll be seven today. Sheila's bringing a loaf of her delicious Pumpkin bread and I have some Brownies in the freezer.
No get-together seems right without some food shared.
I love all of your poppies! It's raining here and feels cold. Good thing our HS Grad party is in an indoor venue this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled at your comment about having food whenever you have a get together. I feel the same way! Your flowers are just gorgeous! I can't wait for mine to be in bloom! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers GM. Oh I just love the different colors. I hope that you have a most blessed week. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteAh there's the spiderwort, a new discovery for me.
ReplyDeleteYou have a fantastic garden and I love all of it!!!
How happy the flowers smile in your dream-garden. Funny teacups between the plants - and more. Great compliment!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that statement at the end of your post! Your flowers are so pretty. I wonder if mock orange smells like oranges? I would like that! It's pretty nonetheless! Take care Granny!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so beautiful and I like your teacups around them. It makes such a touch of whimsy. I hope the dominoes were lots of fun and that you won at least one game.

ReplyDeleteWhat pretty Poppies! They are so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful early summer garden, and that Mock Orange is gorgeous. I can almost smell the scent here!
ReplyDeleteWow, seven years of playing dominoes but what a great excuse to all get together each week :) xx
Everything in your garden looks so healthy and pretty. Must be all of your TLC. I especially love the color of that first poppy.
ReplyDeleteYour tradition for playing Dominoes together as a family sounds so nice to me.
Hi GM! I just planted Shirley poppies! Yours are so pretty! I hope mine like the intense heat we're having and start growing pronto! Yay for get togethers!
ReplyDeleteSo much prettiness in your garden. Love the poppies. I hope the Dominos evening went well. Food is always welcome at a get together.
ReplyDeleteOh my! the poppies are magnificent! What with my water-saving garden, I have not been able to grow any poppies successfully other than California poppies, which don't seem to need water! My neighbor's garden that I can see from my morning room window was full of red flowers earlier in the spring, waving in the breeze, and I think they must have been poppies.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your poppies. Wow! I am anxiously waiting for mine to bloom. I am intrigued with your Domino games; might be something we need to start. Our family gets together from time to time and plays bingo. The winner becomes the caller.
ReplyDeleteAll the flowers are so pretty, they must make your walks so enjoyable. We used to play dominoes all the time, not so much anymore. Hope your donimo afternoon goes great!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful, I especially love the poppies, what beautiful colours.
ReplyDeletep.s. I was with the kids and we baked rhubarb pie and went to the pottery market :-)))
Many warm regards to you.
