As I walk to the lake I pass by this extremely big house under construction. I don't care for the look of it but maybe once it's finished it will look fine.
The flowers in the park are farther along than mine. Probably because they get more sun.
I hadn't noticed this tree stump before. Whoever cut it took the time to make a 'crown'.
Here's something new in the park. The fountain is up and running. I had taken pictures of it but then I saw daughter Sheila's picture and I liked hers better. She managed to get Mt Baker in the background.
Thanks for coming by. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteThe fountain is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a fan of "modern" style houses either. They look so cold and uninviting to me. The older gentleman that lived across the street past last Thanksgiving and his house recently sold and the people moving in have all but destroyed his house. It makes me very sad. The house was beautiful and the yard was to die for. Beautifully landscaped front and back. They've bulldozed everything. They didn't even leave the old big trees. The house had beautiful natural stone. They've painted everything a very stark to the point it hurts your eyes white and trimmed everything in black and are making it look very "modern". Not sure what they plan to do with the yard, but right now...it's real eye sore. The fountain picture is fabulous! What a nice place to walk.
ReplyDeleteLove that they gave the tree stump a crown. Like your daughter's pic, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of the lake, fountain, and Mt. Baker! Perfect for a postcard!
ReplyDeleteThat is a big house!!
ReplyDeleteThe fountain looks great. They still haven't fixed the one in our town pond.
Amazing that we can walk the same places each day and find new things to see. :)
Wow! Mt Baker looks very close there. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the lake and the fountain.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Wishes.
All the best Jan
Dear Granny Marigold, thank you so very much for your post! The last quote helps me in my pain about one of nine yesterday-born chickenbabies, which died today in a tragedy. Now HE takes this child under HIS rescuing wings...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Mount Baker!!
Heart-Greetings from Dori
ReplyDeleteWow, the fountain is beautiful. I love how you can visit a place and still find new things to see, as so many never seem to open their eyes and notice anything that has changed. Have a happy day :) xx
ReplyDeleteI don't care for the style of that house either, but someone out there does and I hope they are very happy living there. Loved the fountain, beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteI don't care much for the modern look either. My favorite house is an English cottage. I hope I get one in Heaven. The fountain reminds me so much of Old Faithful.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
What a beautiful day for a walk in the park. I wish that I could have been there to walk with you. I was surprised at Mt. Baker, your blog says you live in BC Canada, I just didn't think that you could see it that well from that far away. It is a huge mountain so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised :) You asked if my little pitcher was transfer-ware, yes, I do think that is what they call it. I have a lot of it, I should be more knowledgeable . . . I just purchase what I think is pretty :)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's photo and the crown on the stump are artistic. The new house looks like an office building. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThat fountain is an exceptional work of art as is the photo. I loved the crowned tree stump.
ReplyDeleteI don't caare for the look of that big house either. Doesn't look one bit cozy, does it? That is a beautiful picture of the fountain and Mount Baker. I doubt one of the baby kittens on my last post will come to live here...Poppy won't hear of it! :(
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to what that new house is going to look like when it's finished. It could be a stunner or it could be a dump. Will be interested to see the end results.
ReplyDeleteHi GM! Oh, that Mt. Baker is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteIs that an elevator in front of that house? It looks like an interesting design, good or bad I am not sure! Pretty fountain with the MT Baker!
ReplyDeleteI love that beautiful fountain. Sounds like you had a wonderful morning walk.
