Rosamunde Pilcher and a New Tea Pot

I went to the library this morning to pick up this book that I had requested and now it is evening and I just finished reading it. I thought I'd love reading about her Christmas traditions and see pictures of her family and I was not disappointed. Do you know that she is 93 years old?  I wasn't even sure she was still living.

DH drove me to the Salvation Army thrift store for a quick peek around. Their parking lot is very small and always full  and I'm not brave enough to try to find a spot. I found another Corelle tea pot similar to the one I found about a month ago. The new one has an Ivy pattern and is a wee bit smaller than the first one. It had a sign on it "needs a good bleaching" and it did too. It cost me all of .75 !!

That is my very short post today. Thanks for visiting.

  1. I really enjoy Rosamunde Pilcher! Now I am going to see if our library has this book.
Beautiful teapots, never can have too many.
    Take care.

  2. I love those tea pots!! You've made them look brand new! I've read two of her books and enjoyed them both...and cannot remember the names of either...something about a picture, and something about seashells??? :)

    1. The Shell Seekers is probably her best known book; not sure about a picture one though.

  3. Oh Rosamund Pilcher!!!! I read loads of her books! Loved 'sinking into' them. They are wonderful!!!!

Have you read any of her books? They are long, and can be off-putting, because of their size. But believe me, you will 'sink into' them, and love them.

She and her family Christmas, were featured in a magazine... Maybe "Victoria" magazine. Quite a while ago. Yes, I want to get this book out of my library. Thank you!!!!! For telling me about it!!!!!!

And she is still living, 93! I think some Europeans live longer. :-) Look at the former Queen Mum, and the present Queen. :-)

    1. I love her books and own several; always on the look-out for more!!
You may be right about Europeans living longer but my dear MIL lived to be 96 and my father died at 93. So maybe it's all a matter of chance??

  5. That book looks wonderful. I also did not know she was still alive. One movie that is a long-time favorite for my mom and me to watch together is "The Shell Seekers." She has a gift for a story!

  6. I will now be on the look out for this Christmas book by Rosamunde Pilcher. I have in the past read a number of her novels which I enjoyed though I did find them rather lengthy. Have you read any of the books by her son Robin Pilcher? Those of his that I have read were also very good reads.

    1. I haven't seen any by Robin Pilcher but then I wasn't looking for them either. Now I will definitely watch for any I might come across.
