Lilies
Lilies in a vase....
...or outside...
Some of my favourite Daylilies
Can you tell I'm trying desperately to think of something to post? It's a very different week for me because I had my cataract surgery and now I'm not supposed to bend down or do anything that involves lifting much. It's frustrating but I'm sure this too shall pass. I was quite anxious about having the surgery but I'm glad to know it's nothing to fear because in a couple of months I'll have the other eye done. Thanks to those who said a little prayer for me.

Your day lilies are just beautiful...I love all of the variety. Thank you for sharing about the cataract surgery. I'm glad you have the one eye done now and understand how things will go when you have the second eye done.
ReplyDeleteGlad your surgery went well. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Beautiful lilies! Chris
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the surgery went well. I had mine done two weeks apart a number of years ago. Colors are so bright!! Do your drops as directed! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that you are posting at all after the surgery! Certainly it is distracting to have limits on your actions such as you describe... Yay for lilies to keep doing their thing and be there when you need them!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're doing well after your eye surgery. Your daylilies are gorgeous, especially the second photo - what is the name of that cultivar? Mine are starting to bloom now so it's a joy to walk around the garden in the mornings and see what has opened. Hope to see you post more pics of your daylilies (you know me and my passion for daylilies!).

I believe that one is Lavender Tutu.
DeleteDay lilies are so lovely. I wish they lasted more than a day, but then they wouldn't be day lilies, would they.
ReplyDeleteThe lilies are all very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour lilies are absolutely beautiful. You know how I've been trying to get lilies started around the birdbath. Maybe it takes a while for them to settle in?? I'm glad your cataract surgery is done, at least the first one. My sister just went through that too. First one eye and then the other. Sorry to have missed your posts lately. I've just got to do better...maybe after gardening season is done. :) Oh, and your new cupboard looks so pretty. I love the white pieces on the top shelf.
ReplyDeleteSpeedy healing prayed for!
ReplyDeleteOh, the lilies are gorgeous! You have such hearty blooms!
Take it easy. Be lazy. I can show you how because it appears you don't know the lazy ways, GM. You do a lot!
Glad the surgery went well and that your recovery will be just as good. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt will be so wonderful when your other eye is done too and your sight improves. Take it easy, beautiful flowers xx
ReplyDeleteI'm never quite sure how I feel about the oriental lilies, they are beautiful, but almost are too much. Hard to describe..... Your daylilies are more my style I think, you have some lovely colours. I'm surprised you have to wait a couple of months for your other cataract surgery, when Larry had his done it was three weeks between I think. I'm sure they will heal quickly, most of them do, unless there is another underlying condition, which was Larry's case. People say how amazing it is after cataract surgery.
ReplyDeleteWe prayed for you at church on Sunday, GM. I'm glad to know it went well and you're not afraid for the next one. Your lilies are beautiful! It certainly is the right time of year for them! Heal up :)
ReplyDeleteMK, that is so sweet! I am such a chicken when it comes to anything that might be painful.
DeleteThe day lilies are indeed pretty. I hope you recover soon from your eye surgery. Well Wishes. (I found you through a friends blog.)

I do not believe that I have even seen such pretty lilies, these are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a very speedy recovery.
Connie :)
These are SO beautiful! I love all kinds of lilies. I wish you a speedy and successful recovery. Take care!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! I had day lilies at our old house but they never bloomed. Beautiful green stems each Spring but no blooms. X Chy
