Just a small hint of Fall in these (silk) Chrysanthemums.
I bought this little jug at the thrift store recently. The Fall Heleniums are from my garden and have been blooming for over a week already.
Are you tired of summer yet? The heat has been so exhausting that I'm looking forward to Fall and hopefully some cooler weather. These next three days we'll be experiencing temps close to the high 90's which is quite unusual for us.
I've been sorting through my kitchen drawers and finding containers with no lids that will fit as well as lids with no "bottoms". This seemed apt. GM
Come on fall!!!
ReplyDeleteWe need some pumpkins, beautiful colored trees and cool, breezy days.
I love Fall and it's colors. Cooler temps, a promise of the close of hurricane season ( for me at least )...etc.
ReplyDeleteThe table cover in the first image...is that quilted? Pretty!
Yes it is but not by me.
DeleteI like it...colors & country charm.
DeleteIt's good to start seeing those rusty tones of fall. The temperature has been reaching 98 for the past several days. And, there's a hot, dry wind blowing that sucking the moisture out of everything...including me!
ReplyDeleteI love it! But we still haven't had summer yet, it can't leave yet!
ReplyDeleteMy problem is containers with no lids. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am tired of the heat but I don't wish summer away ever.
I'm not ready for fall yet. It's been warm, but I'm enjoying it (mostly). Winter is so long and grey.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Helenium -- they are gorgeous! Happy Halfway-to-Fall!
ReplyDeleteHi G.M. We're in Winter for a couple of weeks yet- then it'l be Spring on the first day of September- this'l be great! My Partner is coming up to her 72nd Birthday towards the end of September - don't know what to do for a Present...usually it is a book of Cross-Word Puzzles...perhaps some bright flowers might be the go. Stay cool there G.M. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteWe have leaves falling already, so Fall will come on fast. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteI am ready for cooler weather myself! Love your centerpiece. If it wasn't so hot I might could think about getting my fall out to decorate a little. Rainy, hot and humid for us right now. Actually yesterday was first day we did not get any rain. Happy Thursday. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Ha... yes, I think that is what must happen to those lost socks.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have had it with heat and humidity. Longing for cooler, fresher air. For now I enjoy dreaming about the upcoming season.
Your fall touch is so pretty. It is extremely hot here too. I am looking forward to fall now.
ReplyDeleteCute little jug! Such a pretty quilted table topper.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying summer yet but we don't get those awfully hot temperatures - more like one long spring here!
We had wet and cooler weather since long and enjoy now some warm sunny days. But too hot is bader than rain! We have terrible fires in South-Europe. What a climate!
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers and fine decoration you show here. Autumn can be very nice.
I am getting excited for falltoo but it will be a while yet before the temperature cools off here!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so love that little quote at the end of your post...that sure is fitting. Love that table topper...
ReplyDeleteI love that last quote!!! So funny. Our local thrift store has closed indefinitely because they had a Covid case. :( Quite sad for us thrifty shoppers!!
