Here are the small treasures that I found at the thrift store. The cream and sugar set caught my eye. I thought that although the design is roses they look very autumnal to me. In fact at first I thought those were pine cones.
This pretty coral watering can will be put outside in Spring. Maybe I can find spray paint in that exact colour and paint a few flower pots to match.
The minute I saw this bedspread I liked the old fashioned look of the fabric. Also the scalloped edge.
I plan to use it on the porch swing as an alternative to the red/pink one I have there now. I even like the backing.
Last of all is this apron which is hand made and I don't think it has ever been used. I like the colour and I'm fond of rickrack too. Can you believe it was a dollar?
teacup # 13 is nothing fancy but the delicate pink flowers make it special.
Thanks for visiting, GM
The fabric of the bedspread is very nice. You are lucky to find these little treasures!
ReplyDeleteA fine collection of daily gems! I also love these autumnal roses on the two pots. The blanket is so nice! The pink coral watering is special - - a good idea to make the same colour on some pots for flowers. I cannot believe, that the handmade apron is just one dollar!!
ReplyDeleteWow that apron was a find!!!
ReplyDeleteThat flower pot is darling
ReplyDeleteYou hit the jackpot! There is not one single thing I don't love!
ReplyDeleteYou had some great finds at the thrift store. I'm heading to Goodwill in an hour or so to see if I can find one or two 9x13 pans and a small basket. Mine were given away before the great move and I find myself needing more than one pan now that I'm cooking for family again. I made a huge batch of enchilada's on Tuesday and had to put them in all kinds of pans to bake because I only had one 9x13.
ReplyDeleteLove your sugar & creamer. In fact I love everything you found. I wear an apron whenever I cook because I am messy. I can't believe someone put so much work into yours and then never wore it.
Have a lovely Thursday.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your thrift store had some true treasures in it! Ours, not so much. I love all of the items you found. And I agree, the color of those roses says "autumn." What pretty pink blooms on your teacup!
ReplyDeleteI like everything you bought at the thrift store. I've been wearing aprons when I cook to save my clothes from spatters, but usually they are full ones.
ReplyDeleteThe coverlet will be a great option for your porch.
Good day at the thrift store for you - lots of great finds!!
ReplyDeleteYou had some fabulous finds at the thrift store. Love that apron. I still use them part of the time.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did well here :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I've been considering a trip to the thrift store, it's been a while. That blanket is pretty. I like the colors and anything with a scalloped edge. Nice haul.
