I walked in fog again this morning. No wind and plus 5C made for a very pleasant walk.
The lake is still iced over and I had to wonder if the ducks are confused that the water seems to have disappeared.
Yesterday was A.A.Milne's birthday. He was born on January 18,1882. Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh and friends were such favourites when my kids were little. Who can forget Pooh eating too much honey and getting stuck in Rabbit's door?
Today's Teacup
Thanks for visiting, GM
We are also in the fog every morning these days.
ReplyDeleteLove the scenery.
Your cup is very nice.
What a lovely lake and a pretty place to walk! I am always amazed at how ducks never seem to be bothered by frozen water or weather. My children loved Winnie the Pooh also. A very pretty tea cup!
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful teacup. Your photos of the snow and ice are very nice, too.
ReplyDeleteYour fog is lovely and mysterious :)
ReplyDeleteWe walked under a cloudy sky but no fog today. Rain is on the way by this evening.
ReplyDeleteThat's an especially pretty tea cup.
That looks so cold.... I keep trying, but I cannot appreciate fog. :-(
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate A.A. Milne, though, very much! Thank you for the birthday alert.
Wow ...all the beautiful pink!!!
ReplyDeleteOur kids favorite was Dr. Suess.
And the more beautiful fog photos the better!
Without wind and storm nature is quiet and peaceful. The fog is romantic. The ducks seem somehow irritated, I hope they will find some water on another place. Beautiful roses on the teacup. My eldest son is born 1981.....
ReplyDeleteLovely fog photos.
ReplyDeleteFog can be beautiful, as you've shown in your photos.
ReplyDeleteI love Pooh Bear :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids loved Winnie the Pooh too!
ReplyDeleteI had wondered why I was seeing so much Winnie the Pooh yesterday. I must have missed the part about his birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was warmer today when you walked. I've often wondered that about the ducks too, but they always seem to adapt don't they?
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Blessings,
Betsy
I grew up with Winnie the Pooh, and was very sad to see the Disney version years later.
ReplyDeleteYour lake looks as though you could skate on it, certainly the ducks have to!
The fog makes it look like a mystery is brewing in your corner of the world.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that teacup!
I don’t know who loved A. A, Milne’s stories more, the kids or me!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snow!
ReplyDeletePooh 💙
I have a big, fat book of A.A. Milne's complete works. I just love the illustrations! Pretty teacup! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Winnie the Pooh as much as my grandchildren did. That frozen lake looks so very cold.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely atmospheric photographs.
ReplyDeleteWinnie the Pooh absolutely wonderful :)
All the best Jan
Oh yes, Winnie the Pooh... so nice :-)))
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wonderful photos of the frozen lake. Adorable,
glad to see.
We have alternating snow and rain this winter...it's no fun when the snow is gone and everything is just grey.
But I sew on the machine and am happy about it. Many greetings to you. Viola
p.s. your beautiful cup also puts you in a good mood :-)))
