Morning Walk

We walked on a different path near Fish Trap Creek. It was early and we met few other people. I like this boardwalk and although the swampy area has little water now once we get rain it will be even more interesting to walk there.  I should remember to take my binoculars  next time.

In the afternoon daughter Sheila came for Dominoes and of course had to see the kittens.

It's hard to believe September is almost over.  Our weather continues to be very warm and sunny.
Zinnias and Rudbeckias are still providing colour. The Black-eyed Susans are done but I'll leave the seed heads for now for the birds.

Thanks for visiting,  GM

  9. What a beautiful walking path! I was just thinking about Rudbeckias and couldn't remember their name. I have only grown them once, I think, and they were so wonderfully dramatic.

  13. Nice walk, looks good :-))
It has been raining a lot here lately and nature has recovered from the drought... so it is now a delight to walk in the forest or across the fields... so beautiful outside :-)))
I also leave a lot of faded flowers in the garden for the birds. It's nice to see them.
Playing dominoes with your daughter is lovely... thanks for the beautiful photo.
    Many greetings from Viola

  16. When my husband was doing his masters, we lived behind Fish Trap Creek and loved walking there. We had some rain this morning, but now we're back to sunshine and dry weather. Hopefully, more rain will come soon. Fun to play dominoes with your daughter.

  20. That's a very beautiful place to walk. You're so fortunate. I don't really have a good walking place around me, sadly. That kitten is adorable!
