I came upon this interesting little piece and as I thought about it I realized that if I had to keep to this schedule I'd have absolutely no time to read or visit with anyone coming by. I'd be busy all day. I think it's ridiculous. Give me your opinion. I' wonder if anyone would think this is reasonable.
So I saw the doctor for 5 minutes yesterday ( about my foot) , long enough for him to give me a requisition for X-ray and tell me to come back next week. So no news on that.
I don't have much to blog about so I'll post some pics I took around the house. Some may already have been posted.
That's me with Miss Kitty's baby, the only one of her 5 that had her markings. Kate took this kitten
and he's twice the size by now. I believe this was taken last Christmas.
We're right in the middle of the week and I hope it's been a good one so far and will continue to be.
Thanks for visiting.
Thanks for visiting.
I do a lot of those things every week but certainly NOT ALL. Some I never do!!:)
ReplyDeleteHope you find something out about your foot SOON. The waiting isn't fun.
Your home decorations are beautiful and that is a cute kitty. I've tried various cleaning routines where you do a little each day. I haven't found one that works for me. Honestly, I'd rather spend one (or two) days cleaning so it is all done at the same time.
ReplyDeleteNo way on that cleaning list. My husband and I do that on one day, on Monday. Any other cleaning is clean up as we go. I'm sure my house is not nearly as clean as that list maker's would be, and that's OK.
ReplyDeleteI don't really follow a schedule. I probably should but that list doesn't look like too much but there is no way I am mopping floors that many times per week! My body simply would hold up for that. The garage is my husband's mess so I wouldn't do that either. My car stays clean and the Oklahoma winds take care of anything needing to be swept off the porches...same for the yard work! LoL. I probably do more, every day, than what is on the list.
ReplyDeleteCute kitty and I love your little treasures.
Grace & Peace
I kind of like it. I live in an apartment, so no outdoor work and no ironing on laundry day. I haven't ironed in years. But I like the idea of a focus on each room. I have a small apartment and I think this could work for me.
ReplyDeleteThat list would drive me bonkers. When I dust, I dust everything, same with vacuuming. I'm not dragging everything out every day for different rooms. Now that it's just Hubby and me, the house doesn't get nearly as dirty either, especially in the winter with the windows closed. The bathroom gets wiped down a couple of times a week, the counters most every day after I get dressed. The kitchen is cleaned up every day because I can't stand dirty dishes in the sink or icky counters.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting the foot looked at and hopefully it's feeling better now. I'm on day 8 of antibiotics for this sinus infection and I think I'm finally on the mend.
Blessings,
Betsy
I could only hope to do one or two of the things on each day. Not sure I could have did them all when younger. But for sure is out of the question now. That kitty is adorable. Oh, I liked seeing your decorations.
ReplyDeleteI love all your pictures of your decorations around the house. So pretty. i always love the village houses and your nativity scene too. That kitty is so pretty in your picture. I was just diagnosed with a detached retina. Looks like eye surgery on Dec. 19th. Pretty scary I think.
ReplyDeleteI had an older work colleague who couldn't go to bed until she had vacuumed the whole house Every Day after work... there were only herself and her husband living there! I wondered if she did anything else with her time
ReplyDeleteHope your foot gets sorted soon.
What a '70s' list! Sweet kitten.
ReplyDeleteThat list sounds like it was written at the 1950's! When most women was at home, and the ideal was to have a spotless clean and tidy home!
ReplyDeleteThe photo from last Christmas with the kitten and you is so beautiful. You definitely shouldn't hang up the housework sign :-)) It would be better to go into the forest every day, it could also be a nice walk...
ReplyDeleteto bake something delicious and produce other nice things... and to meet up with friends, family members or at least your pets.
I'm looking forward to seeing your next cake :-))
The house is beautifully decorated... happy Advent.
Hug from Viola
Though I would never be able to keep up with the list that you posted, I did have a task list that I stuck to during my many years of working. It kept me focused and when I came home from work, it provided me with the needed reminders of mindless tasks that I could do without using my brain which was by that hour of the day wanted to shut itself off already. Once I retired, that list went out the window and my house is messier now than when I was working fulltime, lol.

When I was younger I did most of the list in a week, not in a day. But I think it was too much. Now I try to do a little of that list, very little each day! Lol
ReplyDeleteI like the teddy bears having tea together! And the photo of you with the kitty. So glad you are getting your foot looked at.
ReplyDeleteAs to the cleaning schedule - I usually run through the house once a week, then touch ups the rest of the week. No schedule such as what is written there. It would take so much time!
Your Christmas decorations are beautiful. I didn't put but about a third of mine out this year. That cleaning schedule is whackadoodle- no way, no way!
ReplyDeleteI think it would take less time than you think it is only one room a day.
ReplyDeletesweet Christmas decorations.
Cathy
Hope your foot is ok! I could never do such a cleaning schedule! Yikes!! Beautiful pictures 🥰
ReplyDeleteLinda @ imagesisee.blogspot.com That cleaning list is bonkers. Even when I had little kiddos in the house, I cleaned when I felt like it or when things just got out of hand. Laundry was done when there were enough clothes to go into the washer, I air-dried everything so I couldn't fold till all were dry. Vacuum happened when the dog/cat hair and food crumbs got on my nerves. Kitchen got cleaned as I worked in it. Anyway, it's just me now in an apartment and my cleaning schedule is still the same. Cleaning happens when it happens. But I guess the list might be a good idea????
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so pretty. I love the church and the Nativity scene. One of these days I hope to find a beautiful Nativity set at a thrift store. It's funny you ended your post with a picture of yourself and a kitty. I did the same thing. Oh my, that list would drive me crazy. I just can't stick to a schedule like that. I'm a list maker but usually wind up doing something that's not on the list. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you get your x ray soon. That is a busy lady...when does she cook or bake or buy groceries or tend a garden? I don't like febreeze....too darn stinky! I clean the bathroom from top to bottom one day a week it takes me about an hour, my husband runs the robot vacuum every day and I am fussy about the kitchen because that is the place that needs to be kept super clean with food prep! I clean the garage about twice a year:) Bad me...and I do not hand wash anything although I do at least one load of laundry everyday
ReplyDeleteA HUGE hard pass on that cleaning list. Firstly, depending on the time of the year, I'm doing yard almost daily. Once a week isn't going to it done or keep up with the mowing, which is usually twice a week. I do things as I think there's a need, the need changes based on what you've been doing in the house to make it dusty or not, whether or not you have company coming, whether or not it's been muddy out due to rain. I've never done things on a schedule with regard to housework. Certainly not when I worked full time, nor did my Mother. Pretty sure my Grandmother didn't either. Laundry once a week would never work. I don't enough clothing that I could wait a whole week to do laundry, plus that would be way too many loads for one day. Hope you find out soon what the problem is. Oh, and life is way too short to spend some much time dusting and cleaning!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you deliberately get your picture taken with the sign PATIENCE right above you? :-) It's very appropriate for your situation, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGretchen Joanna
Every day one room is for me no good idea. I always would have the feeling, that I'm not ready . My day for the house is Monday, and this is my most sportive day of the week!
ReplyDeleteThe doctor seems to have a lot of time for your foot, so I think, you did not wait too long until you visited him :)
Hope for good news for you next week.
Very nice Christmas-decorations! I love them all!
I also love the photo with you and the cat Miss Kitty Baby very much. Greetings to Kate! You have a wonderful family!!!!!
the list...ah not so much! I do what I feel needs done in addition to the everyday chores.
ReplyDeleteThat list is silly. Who does that??? I clean when it needs cleaned, period. Sometimes not then either, if life is crazy.
ReplyDeleteLove the decorations, especially the bears. A tea party!
No baking here, yet. I think maybe today, if I can get over this incredible sleepiness. I blame it on the rain.
Nice photo of you and the kitten!
Lovely photos and I like your decor. I clean something every day but don't stick to a schedule like that. I hope your foot issues get resolved soon.
