Changing a Few Things

This morning I was inspired to change the look of the sideboard in the dining area. The turquoise dishes had been there since after Christmas so I took them off ( and did a much needed dusting while I was at it).

Then I took out these pieces that Sheila gave me one Mother's Day years ago.

I took the turquoise pieces down to the 'new' cupboard.

That was a quick change-about and it didn't take very long to do. That's the kind of project I like.

It's rather cloudy today. I was out pulling weeds earlier but  my back doesn't appreciate me doing too much bending over so I made sure to quit before I really wanted to. The weeds are growing faster than I can pull them and there's no use hoeing them if we keep getting rain. So I left the weeds for another day.

What have you been keeping busy doing?

Thanks for coming by,  GM

  2. Your sideboard was lovely before and is now lovely after. I do like the pieces with the birds. It's that time of year, of course!

  3. The turquoise china looks perfect in the new cupboard. Tailor-made! And the birds are just beautiful, especially for summer. They are just singing their hearts out around here. I have been cleaning a bit, too, and working. I need to weed!

  4. I like quick changes like that too... and yours look lovely. My weeds are growing fast too... I'm getting too old to keep up with them! I'm mostly keeping busy getting the garden beds ready for planting. Like your back, mine doesn't like to do too much bending so it's a slow go some days.

  5. I really like your change around. The birds look wonderful on the sideboard and perfect for spring/summer and the turquoise dishes fit right into the new cupboard. It's fun to have pretty things outside too.
Mandy came over and mowed again tonight. Dennis did it Friday just before he left but the grass is growing by leaps and bounds and it's supposed to rain for the foreseeable future. While she mowed, I pulled weeds. And pulled weeds. It's never ending. Then I came inside and stood in an ice cold shower for quite awhile to cool down.
Thanks for showing us some pretty photos today!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  6. Oh dear, the back and the garden! I've virtually given up doing any actual gardening now as the poor old body really suffers afterwards. Now I just wander through gardens and enjoy other people's hard work! :)

  8. Little projects like this are fun and easy to do. I like both tea sets, and how well the turquoise set matches your new cupboards. I'm working out in the garden these days. Lemon balm is taking over!

  9. Those are the kind of changes I like too. Your aqua dishes look right at home in the aqua cupboard and the bird dishes look very nice for spring/summer. It's gotten downright hot here so I am doing a lot of reading and popping outside long enough to keep things watered.

I'll be so tickled. Stay away Rosebud! Thanks for stopping over my place GM. I wonder what color it will be ?

I love how you move your pretty dishes around. Those turquoise dishes take on a whole new look in that cabinet! And the bird dishes -- they are so pretty! They're really perky for this time of year.
