A Visit to a Small Park

This is a different sort of post. Daughter Sheila and her son Callum visited the little Friendship Garden that is tucked away behind one of the local libraries.  It's such a gem and not many people seem to even know about it. She took some lovely photos and with her permission I'm sharing them here.

Yep. That's my grandson Callum.  He's always got a big smile.

Thanks for popping by.   GM

  15. Hi G.M.... It is very good to see your Grandson- Callum. Callum's long hair is terrific- good on him. I grew up in an age when long hair for boys was the trend -along with flared jeans and platform shoes and cheese cloth shirts! Boy-those were the days. Best Wishes. KEV.

  16. The "Golden Tree" is a monument to some farm workers who died due to unsafe working conditions in 2007, made by a local sculptor in coordination with Progressive Intercultural Community Services and the BC Federation of Labour. It's even more beautiful to see it in person!

    1. I hope you check back and read Sheila's comment. I wasn't aware of the reason for the carving myself.
