I spend so much time on my back porch and I like to change things around from time to time. I've had an old quilt draped over the swing for years and was thinking of changing the look.
When I was walking past bedspreads at the thrift store I saw a lovely slightly faded one and knew immediately that it was just right.
It had two shams so I used one to cover the pillow I use when I nap here ( nothing more likely to lull a person to sleep than a swing.)
And the other sham to cover this wicker chair pad.
Incidentally, that white table in the first pictures was a .50 purchase a while ago. Youngest son gave it 2 coats of white paint and it has found a home on the porch.
Whatever your weekend holds I hope it's a good one.
Thanks for visiting, G.M.
Oh that's lovely and cheery! A perfect place to rest!🥰
ReplyDeleteWat a change some new colours and fabric makes. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteAn afternoon nap on the porch swing is really great :-)) Greetings to you ... I have bread in the oven, it smells good and I'm looking forward to it.

What a summery, comfortable place! The creativity and resourcefulness of the whole family is reflected in it. <3
ReplyDeleteYour porch is beautiful! I would just love to come and sit on it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea and looks like a very cozy spot to relax in. Dennis is driviing back to Spokane today and tomorrow. Right now he's somewhere in Montana.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of treasures including the table. I hope your Saturday is going well.
I would agree. It is just right and so summery looking. The colors make me think of watermelon (one of my favorite summer fruits). Your porch looks like a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the beauty of the season. You make me laugh with another of your collections. I am always attracted to pretty rocks and your collection appeals to me. I can imagine a lot of the people who sit on your porch are fascinated by it too.
ReplyDeleteThe new cover on the swing is perfect! It gave it a nice new look. I like your rock collection, I have a rock collection too. Enjoy the weekend and don't forget a nap on the swing. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice place to spend some time. Great deal on that white table!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really a fine place in your lovely home! I like the new blanket, all the furnitures and decorations are friendly and show an individual taste. The white table is very good! I see a beautiful glass-window in the background - home sweet home!

ReplyDeleteI love this spot. It looks so relaxing and nothing like a swing for a nap :)
ReplyDeleteYour rock collection is very interesting! I see opened geodes. I found a tiny open geode among the rocks at school. I had never found an opened one before. I love your porch and the new quilt/shams are just beautiful!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely area, and I like both of the quilts. I could sit out there and crochet all day..I like to collect pretty rocks when I seem them from time to time, I like sea shells and have some bowls of them around.
