Christmas Decorating

A few pictures of what I've done so far. It's much less than I have in the past but at this point in my life I seem to be wanting to do less.

Above is the little vignette that hard to see under the glass 'house'.

The left side of the sideboard....

...and the  right.  I couldn't get a proper picture of the whole thing.

The tree in the sunroom taken before the creche was set up under it.

 Something to keep in mind.

teacup #43      I like the pierced edges on the saucer. Another favourite.

Thanks for coming by,   GM

  1. having trouble leaving a comment..so I hope it takes. I put up less and less each year. Less can be more sometimes. And by far more fun putting it away...Your home looks cozy and lovely.

  2. I've seen these saucers with thin ribbon woven thru. Pretty. As are your decorations and tree.

  4. What a nice decoration! In every corner of your inviting home we can find the happy Christmas-world. The Chistmastree is wonderful. I like the quote VERY much - yes: lets do and give our best. . .

  5. You do a beautiful job of decorating your home. Your reindeer would have to be favorites of mine. And, I do like the cup a lot. You are way ahead of me; guess I am doing less each year too.

  6. Your Christmas decorations are lovely. I enjoyed the quote about being a good memory. And tea cups...oh my. Your #43 is beautiful. Would you believe I have passed the majority of mine on to others? I kept a few.

  7. Very lovely decorating. Where do you keep it all during the off season? This last cup & saucer looks like it is interchangeable with the last one you posted!

  8. I don't do as much as I used to either.
    Everything you've done looks lovely.

  9. I see that you have some crocheted snowflakes on your tree too.
Each year I think I will do less, and then I find I can't leave anything out yet. That may change in the next few years.

  10. Your home is so lovely! I love all of the vignettes, especially the little birdies in the snow. And the deer! I love deer in winter decorations! I put up less each year, too. Now all my decorations that I actually use fit in one tub, with room to spare. It used to be 3 tubs.

  11. The teacup is so pretty and unusual. I don't think I've seen one with a saucer like that. I like all of your decorations. I mainly put up the tree and distribute snowmen around the house. Your tree is lovely and so is your sideboard with all of the deer.

  13. Your decorations are beautiful. I'm also SLOW to finish decorating this year. I pulled my big red Christmas tubs into the living room, got the tree mostly done, and then came to a grinding halt. Must finish today! I hope your December is "sweet and bright."
