We had a pleasant walk around Mill Lake. Saw the Eagle on the nest (just a white head barely to be seen). Came home and took my second cup of coffee out onto the porch, watched an excavator filling dirt around the building that is being built behind us. The part that will be underground parking is mostly done now and all the earth that was hauled away now has to be brought back. Well, obviously not ALL the earth, but many dump trucks keep coming and unloading.
I brought in a few tulips to set on the able. I try to have something pretty there at all times. I find it's very cheery.
The day lies ahead of me and I plan on doing a bit of scrapbooking, a small load of laundry that didn't get done yesterday, small chores that need doing. So it goes.
Thanks for coming by
I'm the same way about having "something pretty" on the table.
ReplyDeleteWe are at the Whidbey cabin, where today we will do some shopping, some browsing, and later, when it dries off a bit, we'll do some weeding in our front garden, where the tulips are blooming. Tomorrow we'll go to the Tulip Festival.
Lovely tulips. Mine are only just opening.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these tulips. I plan on planting some this fall.
ReplyDeleteI like ordinary days and have many things to keep me busy. I think it is good to like ordinary days because that's what most of our days are. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty and cheery tulips! We do not have eagles in our area . It must be wonderful to enjoy watching them. Hope that building and construction gets done behind you and leaves you in peace
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are so pretty. They are certainly cheerful to look at! I'm glad my wash in all done....I'm not liking my new washer very well....wish I could go back to the old one. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteYou may have had an ordinary day but you certainly have an extraordinary beautiful bouquet of tulips happy springtime ☺️
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are so pretty. Most of my days are ordinary, which is better than having a crisis everyday. And that reminds me of a Hallmark movie called, "The Magic of Ordinary Days". It's an older movie but just so sweet. I'd love to watch it again, but I think that would involve purchasing it, which I've considered doing. Anyway, coffee on the porch and tulips on the table...so comforting. Linda, imagesisee.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThe best thing for me is always a walk outside through nature... the tulips you brought with you are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are now blooming in our gardens too. It is wonderful.
Many greetings to you.
I wish you a happy time.
Viola
These walks in the morning, the tulips and your blessing heart are a light in the sometimes crazy world!
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are so pretty and so is the vase you have put them in.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like flowers on the table...we had hyacinths for a while. Our tulips are about done though. I should look for something to buy to bring home. Could sure use the cheerfulness of it. An okay day is good...so long as nothing bad happens.
ReplyDeleteHello again. I just wanted to get back with you . You mentioned that when you researched the name of the little dainty flower on my blog post, you came up with a butterfly.......I am so glad you mentioned this. Yes, I put down the wrong name. The correct name of the flower is Thymophylla tenuiloba (Dahlberg Daisy) and here is a link for you https://www.gardenia.net/plant/thymophylla-tenuiloba I did correct this on my post. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love tulips...yours are so pretty!
ReplyDeletehugs
