A few months ago our tiny back lawn was ravaged by hungry raccoons looking for grubs. This week finally DH rented a tiller and youngest son came to work the sod through. When grandson M came to help that made 3 generations out there at work. Now do you understand why I bake so often?
( I made cinnamon buns today )
We were given more rhubarb.
I thought this was so cute. Hopefully no one is offended but isn't it just like a little child to 'misunderstand' what grown-ups say?
Thanks for coming by.
Isn't that from 'Family Circle"? I wasn't offended, I think it's cute. Three generations of menfolk working together, that's GREAT.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, what a mess those raccoons made of your lawn. Thank goodness you have such good helpers to straighten things out. You are a good baker and I'm sure all your helpers appreciate that and you. Yum....rhubarb! Enjoy. Cute cartoon!
ReplyDeleteOh the raccoons has been working hard! Rhubarb is just the best :)
ReplyDeleteLove from Titti
So good that three generations can work together! And yes, I understand the baking...and love that cartoon.
ReplyDeleteWe have dealt with raccoon destruction to our lawn. Now we use chemicals to kill grubs to rid the raccoons and crows of tasty treats. We don't like to use chemicals, but this was war.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your lawn. Raccoons can really do some damage. How nice that your kids are so close to help....probably because you make such great goodies to eat! :-) No offense taken for the cartoon. I think it's really cute.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I love that you made then cinnamon bunns!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a raccoon who visits our front porch every night and ravishes the bird feeders if I forget to bring them in. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to stop feeding the birds because the raccoons are such an annoyance. Also, a couple of towns over three raccoons have tested positive for rabies.
ReplyDeleteRaccoons can be so destructive. I think that cartoon is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteCute cartoon. Baking is a welcome treat for hard workers - they appreciate it all, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI hope the three generations work to repair the damage from the raccoons.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week!
We have possums and armadillos ... armadillos are the grubbers. They can really make a mess.
ReplyDeleteRhubarb pie is my favorite! Hot served with vanilla ice cream...goodness! lol

It's so nice to have such willing help. Of course, the buns didn't hurt their willingness one bit, I bet.
ReplyDeleteThe raccoons come now also nearer and nearer in our regions in the Bavarian Forest. naughty children they are! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful blessed family - so the raccoons are not dangerous for your little paradise.
Now I know, why you bake a lot of fine cakes all the time :) :) :)
