A Small Project

Last week's hot sunshine was threatening to burn the shade- loving Hostas and Ferns in the area in the back of the house.  As well we were noticing how shabby the old wood lattice was looking. We needed to find a quick and easy way to solve both these issues and plastic lattice was the answer.

I like how the little corner has been brightened up.  It took three-and-a-half  4X8 panels and we were able to get 3 of them marked down because they were slightly damaged.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Very pretty! Now the plants really show up and the lattice has smaller holes so they won't get as much sun:)

  3. Oh wow, what a lovely change. I am loving it! Your plants look so nice. I think we are still in winter here. Sure feels like it. Enjoyed your pretty flowers on your header as well. I hope to be back blogging soon we are just in a "dead" season it seems.
    Enjoyed your post - Chris

  7. That plastic lattice stuff is handy, and the hostas definitely are more shaded now. It looks great. You must be good at looking after plants in pots, they look so healthy. I am NOT good at looking after plants in pots.
We did use the plastic lattice to make a pair of gates to keep the dogs in the backyard at Oliver. We have found that it has warped a bit, so I think it is best fastened not too firmly so that it has room to expand or contract.

  9. That turned out so pretty! I need to talk my husband into looking at your blog; at all the little changes you two keep making. He is always asking if I will ever get things the way I want them. It's fun change things and add things.
