The grocery store Hyacinth is blooming and spreading its scent in the sunroom.
I haven`t killed the Poinsettia yet although a number of leaves have dried up and fallen.
If you look closely you can see some tiny new growth on the last of my Amaryllis to come out of dormancy.
And this one has a beautiful flower and 3 or 4 buds yet to develop. Outside you can see just how snowy the back yard is..
Thanks for visiting today.

ReplyDeleteThings looking good around your house.
ReplyDeleteI changed a few things around today too.
So true, no insects in winter!! : )
What a pretty amaryllis.
ReplyDeleteWe pack all our Christmas stuff away the day after Boxing Day.
ReplyDeleteNo mosquitos here either! :-) . Your decorations are lovely as your your flowers. Anything springlike or green is very welcome right now. It's all white outside here.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Healthy amaryllis. Mine did not bud, just leaves this year. Something wrong. But I still like the plant.
ReplyDeleteNo mozzies - guess there has to be some benefit in all that snow!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you decorate your home :)
It does look wintery out your window, but very warm and cozy in your house. You definitely have a green thumb! Would you believe we still have our Christmas tree up?
ReplyDeleteIt may be snowy outside, but it definitely looks like spring inside. And, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI think I am definitely going to get an amaryllis at some point. Yours is just so beautiful. That sewing machine cabinet is just like the cabinet that held the treadle that I learned to sew on.
ReplyDeleteNope no skeeters here either! Your displays are lovely:)
ReplyDeleteNice flowers of new hope in a new year.
ReplyDeleteFunny sentence in the middle of very big snow!
I think I could smell the sweet scent of that Hyacinth. :) That flower against all the snow in the last picture is amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a wonderful time of year when there are no mosquitos! lol No snow here, we haven't even had a freeze this year. Lovely sideboard setting and I love your old sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how weather changes....when i lived in BC (20 years ago) snow was much more rare ...... your home looks beautiful and the flowers are so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteI have just now caught up with reading the latest of your posts. Your amaryllis in bloom is simply gorgeous! I love hyacinths but am too scent sensitive to have them in the house though I would love to have them grace my table.

Your flowers look beautiful. Hard to believe that winter is only about half over... the inside of your home looks like spring!
ReplyDeleteYour plants are a delight. I am thankful that we haven't had any snow unlike you...my goodness!
ReplyDeleteYou have quite a few amaryllis! That would be fun, to see them emerge one by one, and bloom...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite season is No Mosquito season! We are cold too, but no snow thankfully. Your inside blooms look so bright and happy. Our Christmas is long put away -- I now regard January and "Quiet Winter" as a season all its own to be welcomed and relished. I'm hibernating.
