Snow

This is my view out the front door this morning.  M was SO excited.

We walked in the park and got quite wet because the snow was wet, heavy stuff. I noticed many people were carrying umbrellas which was probably a good idea.

On the way back we passed the school  and saw many snowmen dotting the playground. You can barely make them out against the dark trees.

This tongue-in-cheek forecast was posted on Face Book by the Police.

There's no knowing how long this snow will be around. I'm off to sit in my cozy sunroom and watch it falling.

Thanks for visiting,  G.M.

  1. you are having normal winter winter, here where I live...it's been raining all day. Yesterday 32 degrees, and felt like 24.Today 44 and they are talking breaking record temps tomorrow 65.....up and down, up and down. You can't get used to anything, and be prepared for everything...:) Your cozy sunroom sounds lovely, a perfect place to sit and watch those snowflakes falling. Our time is coming....we get snow off of Lake Erie while it is still unfrozen, and it can dump quite a bit of the fluffy stuff.

  2. I'm doing the same thing. We are currently in a Winter Storm Warning with 8-10 inches predicted along with even more snow Saturday and Sunday. It's coming down like crazy right now, but it is beautiful. I'll be happier once my husband is home and through rush hour safe and sound.
Loved the little snowmen and your pictures are beautiful. Stay safe and warm.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  3. Oh Granny, that sounds so lovely....sitting in your cozy sunroom watching the snow fall. Your pictures are just beautiful. I love the snow alert you posted. Where my daughter lives, the Meteorologist who gives the forecast is named "Paul Probably!" Don't you love it? Enjoy your snow....perhaps it doesn't last long where you live? Here we have over 40 inches.....it will be around for months yet!

    1. 40 inches? OH.MY.GOODNESS. That's a lot of snow. Our snow could last but normally doesn't here in the Fraser Valley.

  5. I enjoyed your snowy pictures It is rare to have snow here in NC. So far there has been none and the weather has been mild so I don't see any in the near future. It always looks so pretty and peaceful so I'm glad my blog friends share their photos. Have a wonderful weekend.

  9. We are in for a nasty weekend with rain, freezing rain and high winds - the worst face of winter. And no one is joking about this forecast!

  10. I do not know how I missed this...I usually check your blog at least a couple times a day, if not three. Beautiful pics! Snow will always excite me, even though that feeling might be followed by dread of having to either get out and go in it or cancel an appt if it is too deep.

  12. Just when you are glad to have a sunroom! My daughter when she lived in Maryland had the most lovely sunroom that I was very happy to use. I hope just enough snow falls to be beautiful but not too inconvenient!

  15. Considering how weird this winter's weather has been, I would say that's a pretty accurate weather report! :-)

  16. It is beautiful with the snow, but I must admit that I am happy as long as it stays away :) Now we are soon half way in January and temperatures have been between 2 C and 8 C all the time. It used to be the coldest month of the year. I can't say I miss the cold, but it is not normal.
