A Bit of Trivia

March 7, day 66 of 2020.
This is the weekend we in Canada go on Daylight Saving Time.
It is also the week of the full moon and, for those who are just a tad superstitious, we have Friday the 13th coming up.
Then, next Saturday, March 14 is Pie Day ( pi 3:14, get it?)  I for one will bake a pie. It's all in fun.

It's damp day here. Yesterday it didn't rain and the temperature was reasonable so I cleaned up the area where I do any transplanting etc.  It's under the roof overhang of my garden shed so unless it rains with a wind it stays dry.  It's nice to get out and putter a bit, even if it means wearing a warm jacket.

Other than that it's a very ordinary Saturday. I hope yours is a good one.

Thanks for popping by,

Granny M.

  1. We are having some gorgeous sunshine today, but it's still cold so I will enjoy it from inside! I'm anxious to get outside and "putter".

  2. Something wonderful about ordinary...it's got it place too. Springing forward, us too. Sun and blue sky, woke up to a little candy coating of snow this morning. Forecast for Sunday 60's...the roller coaster that is spring

  3. Did you get any snow? We had monstrous flakes coming down for quite a while, and it all turned white, but now it has almost all melted and the sun is shining (2:15 pm).

  4. Tom has been busy in his greenhouse, while I have been just diddling the day away. We'll go to a soccer match this evening, bundled up against the cold. At least the rain should be gone be then.

  6. Pi day at school was such an event! Kids brought all kinds of goodies (made me wonder why they didn't just bring pie).
I'm glad you were able to putz outside. I have four packages of seeds and such a long time to wait to plant them. Oh well.

  7. AH you make summertime this weekend!!! We still here have to wait until end of March.

The weather here is similar like yours. Often wind and rain - snow in the higher regions.

Have a fine time, blessings and greetings from Dori

  8. It's been a cool and rainy day here in Washington State. The sun is just getting ready to set and I see a bit of blue sky peeking out from the clouds. We'll be setting the clocks ahead tonight too. I may just need to bake a pie for pie day too. Or maybe we'll have a chicken pot pie for dinner!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  11. We changed, too, and I suppose I was worried about not waking up in time, because I woke up WAY too early and couldn't go back to sleep, so my afternoon is funky and slow. Maybe I should have changed into my nightgown and gone to bed when I got home from church and agape meal and wandering WalMart looking for disinfectant anything... but I was already too tired to be sensible.

And the weather is cold and dreary! But soon I really must go clean up my own greenhouse; maybe the next sunny day...

  13. It has been so warm here this week that I have half expected to see a hummingbird or two; guess it is time to hang a couple of feeders.

  15. Was cool this morning here but such a beautiful day now! Almost making me want to dig in the dirt and plant me something! Oh I laughed about the time change, full moon and Friday the 13th. Girl, don't you know that some people will be having a stroke over this. LOL!!! I am liking your idea about PIE DAY! Hugs and blessings sweet lady.

  16. I wonder what kind of pie you will bake. We love all pies, especially warm with french vanilla ice cream. So nice you could get outside and putter a bit, here we still have a lot of snow in the backyard, so no puttering quite yet. Chris
