The sun has been shining for a few days now and since we're not going anywhere due to Covid-19 we decided to tidy up the area behind the house. It faces South and mainly I have succulents there. It hasn't changed much but to me it looks a lot tidier.
We have to hang the window tomorrow. Forgot to do that today.
Sorry about all the shadows .
Some pots may or may not have anything growing in them eventually. I must do a better job of labeling them this year. The Clematis on the arbour hasn't greened up yet so it looks ratty.
The Crocus are loving the sunshine and finally opening fully.
So that's what we've been keeping busy with. Stay safe and well!! G.M.
Oh, my goodness, those crocuses are so beautiful - perfect, brilliant ending for your post :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a busy and productive day. The fresh air is wonderful isn't it? I was even able to open our patio door for awhile this afternoon. I adore the crocus. Purples and lavenders are my favorite colors and make my heart happy so I love this photo.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Your clematis, is it a Montana?, will soon be covering the trellis with a canopy of flowers. Mine is in bud so it wont be long before the pink flush of flowers is visible.
ReplyDeleteThere are actually three Clematis on that arbour. The Spring blooming one ( pink), a white mid season one and finally the Sweet Autumn Clematis which is closest to the house ( and the most aggressive grower).
DeleteAt least you are doing something...love the crocuses...and that little red chair and table.
ReplyDeleteYou had a pretty productive day and you got to enjoy some sunshine! While we've had intermittent sunny days, it is still pretty cold here. Too cold for me to spend too much time outside. I can't wait for spring! Stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteSpring sunshine always makes me want to go outside and mess around in the garden. Love your crocus, and I can picture how lovely it will be to sit on your chair and enjoy your pots when they all get growing. Look after yourselves, Mxx
ReplyDeleteNice, sunny spot to sit and enjoy the fruits of your labor! Stay well, my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to your backyard. What a fun place! You must spend many happy hours here. I love the succulents. Do they overwinter outside?
ReplyDeleteYes, they do but many got too waterlogged this past winter so I've lifted them and put better draining soil underneath. It's the rain that rots them not so much the cold.
DeleteYou have lots of pots to keep you busy! I love your table and chairs!
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy out back. All looks nice and a great place to spend some time in the sunshine! The flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI had to come back here just to see...was on my phone when I looked early this morn. I just simply loved seeing this on computer...still loving the red chair and table.
ReplyDeleteWhen we are stuck at home it's great to have a garden to putter in, especially in spring when so much is happening.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed my Crocus so much this spring! And your area looks tidied up to me! You have such a green thumb.
ReplyDeleteHello GM! It's snowing and snowing here. A few brave souls are walking their dogs but we're staying inside. I like your back garden space! Lots of pots for seeds!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine communication with the sun and the plants! They are really lovely and thankful family-members and happymakers.
ReplyDeleteBEST WISHES!!!!
Loved seeing your crocus. They really cheered me up. Reminded me of when I was first married and planted them helter skelter in the lawn. Always so fun to see in the Spring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful visit in you garden. Your back yard is very pretty. I'd love to have something like that. Those crocus are blooming already? Nothing blooming here yet, it's just coming up above the ground now. I love Spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you have lots to keep you busy (and great weather to do it in) right now!

A good way to spend these days at home, getting ready for new growth. I'm looking forward to seeing new blooms and praying this virus will go away soon.
ReplyDeleteGM thanks for stopping over re: the bluebells. ahh! that is awesome, be sure to take pictures. I "think" they are tubers, I remember them being kind of woodie looking, and not round. It's always a surprise what comes up in the garden.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend.
What a lovely spot! You have beautiful pots and planters. That looks like a wonderful place to sit and take a nap.
