A number of years ago I bought this Geranium and I've forgotten what it is called. I bought it for the pretty leaves; the tiny flowers are insignificant. In the first photo you can barely see the red flower just above the bird feeder outside. (It sounds like the flower is outside but I think you know what I mean).
If anyone can identify it I'd be grateful.
Friday is shopping day for us. One of the stores that sends out flyers had baking supplies on sale. I think my pantry is full and I'm all ready for Christmas baking!!
It's a very wet day out and now that we're back home I think I'll turn up the heat a bit and have a cozy afternoon.
Thanks for coming by, G.M.
it is a pretty plant, but I do not have any clue what it's name is. bulking up my pantry with flour. Always try to have at least 2 bags on hand.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a plant like that... the leaves are very pretty. It's wet and cold here today too. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt is very similar to a pelargonium called Vancouver Centennial...... I think.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is a Harry Hieover Fancy Leaved Geranium...it is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI need to check out my baking supplies ...thank for the reminder
The leaves are pretty but sorry can't help you with what the plant is.
ReplyDeleteYour pantry looks so neat and tidy.
Your geranium is Vancouver Centennial.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely to have a full pantry?! I love it in the Fall when we have lots of dishes we'd like to try out and Christmas baking to navigate. Have fun using up your supplies!
ReplyDeleteStay warm.

Time for Chrismas baking approaches. I think autumn-time will fly away rather soon - -
ReplyDeleteYou are a good friend of plants. They have a good place in your house.
I can't identify your geranium but am wondering if it is one of the scented geraniums. It seems to me there are a few of those and the flowers aren't usually the significant part. The leaves on yours sure are pretty. I hope somebody can help in identifying it. I love to peak into people's pantries :). I love your canisters! How nice to be ready for Christmas baking in October.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful plant but I've never seen one like it before. Lots of our baking supplies are non-existent. I've been trying to buy pumpkin for weeks with no luck. I'm glad you've gotten your supplies and are ready to go.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I can't help with the geranium, but it looks like others have some ideas. Stocking up the pantry for Christmas baking is a good idea - the time will be here soon enough!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bonus getting some of your baking supplies on sale. It is so nice to be prepared and ready for Christmas baking.
ReplyDeleteAs somebody else said, it's called a Vancouver Centennial. Also called the "maple-leaf geranium." Very pretty and different! I love geraniums.
ReplyDeleteYour pantry looks happy and ready to be used to bless others! That's so much a part of holiday preparation, isn't it? Can't wait to see what you bake.
Those are gorgeous leaves...that would be pretty to.look at all.the time.
ReplyDeleteYour pantry looks clean, neat, and well-stocked. It's just around the corner that we will all be scurrying around to find what we need for our holiday baking. The geranium is beautiful no matter what kind it is.
ReplyDeleteI used to have one of those Vancouver geraiumns! It just grew and grew and grew when I bought it and planted it. Then we moved from that place and I didn't remember to grab some of it. Alas, no one sells it around here anymore. Your pantry look decorated all by itself with those pretty goodies!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a plant like that. It's pretty! Your pantry sure is neat and clean. I love a pantry!
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas baking! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yay for Christmas baking!!! I am ready too 🥰
ReplyDeleteI have two of that same geranium. I'm betting we bought them at Devan's. I overwintered mine, well probably didn't even get them moved out of their original pots. Overwintering here means total neglect. They were all dried out but came back with a bang this Spring and I love the colouring!
