Clematis and Roses

My Spring Clematis is at its peak now and the bees are loving it.  The greenery you can see growing through it in the second picture is another, later blooming clematis that we thought was dead but obviously it isn't.  We planted another Spring Clematis on the right side of my garden shed in the back. Eventually I hope the two will meet and cover my little shed roof completely.

I should have moved all the pots away before I took the picture. One of those big white buckets has extra soil and the other is my water bucket.. You can just see Bunny's cage in the background, She's been enjoying the sunshine too and the warm temperatures are causing her to lose her winter coat.

We've had this pink Rugosa for many years and it has never had more than a handful of blooms. This year it is doing so well. I can't begin to count how many buds and blooms it has.  Like most other Rugosas it has a wonderful scent.

We've had a week of glorious weather. I've been outside a lot and tomorrow I must at the very least vacuum my place. It's hard to do housework when the sun is shining.

Thanks for coming by,  GM

  2. You have some beautiful things in your garden. Clematic montana is one of the best, isnt it? Mine is romping away, over fence and shed roof, just what I wanted it to do.

  3. Prachtig, een bloemenparadijs en wat zullen die rozen lekker ruiken.

Geniet van het buiten zijn en het mooie weer.

Hier bij ons is het erg onstabiel met dagelijks ferme regenbuien

    Lieve groet,Ger

  4. beautiful! We may actually top off at 70 today. The tomatoes I started way back need to go into the garden, they've had enough of their pots, need sunshine & warmth. Today is their day.

  8. Your clematis is gorgeous and huge! So glad you shared it. We just planted one here. It will be a few years before it fills in.
That pesky housework has a way of spoiling our outdoor fun :). Have a lovely weekend.

  22. I simple drool over your beautiful garden! I would probably never leave that spot. A cup of coffee in the mornings, my devotional, would surely have me there. Oh heck, I might just stay for lunch with a glass of tea and a good old ham and cheese sandwich and still be there when the hubby got home! LOL! Beautiful garden dear GM. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  25. I love being outside in the morning while it's still cool. I have to come in as soon as it gets very warm. I had a clematis many years ago in Iowa, but I've no success since then. Yours is amazing! Truly stunning, how it drapes all over the shed! And a Rugosa -- ah, I would love to have one or two again! I should ask our local nursery lady to order one or two. I had them a few years ago, but we moved from that house. They are so tough and sturdy. Of the 6 Knock-Out roses we bought here, 3 have died.
