A Blustery day

No walk for me this morning. A strong Northeast wind is bringing cold temperatures to our area. At least we don't have snow like we did when I took this picture 8 years ago.  I've heard that snow insulates plants and mine are exposed to the cold. I wonder what will have come through this winter. I suppose I'll find out in a month or so.

I was given a box of assorted dishes. Because I don't have much room left I chose only a couple of pieces. This pretty teapot and cream jug.....

...and the cream and sugar set.  I also kept a single cup in this pattern and will put a small plant in it.

I'm getting unsure of which teacups I've shown so I may already have posted these.

This is going to be a day for curling up in a comfy chair and reading. I hope your day is going well.

P.S.  Did you realize that today's date is  22-02-2022 ?

  3. It is cold and windy here today too! Our area usually does not get wind, but we sure have it today. I did walk today, but I was bundled up from head to toe! We still have snow everywhere here, although some of it was melting. There will be no melting snow this week! Stay warm and cozy today!

    Fine photo with shining snowflakes.

You collection of dishs is great and big and endless, I have the feeling of endless space in your house, but maybe you just have a good knowhow! :)

The blue drawn teapot is valuable!

  8. I love that teapot so much that I have gone a little green about the gills! My dinner set is the exact same blue (although the pattern is different) and I've been keeping half an eye out for a teapot to go with the cups and saucers. And yours is so pretty :)

  9. We are under another winter storm warning. Enough is enough! I already know I have lost my foxgloves. You definitely have the right idea on how to spend a cold winter’s day.

  10. We had the same sort of day here in Nebraska. Cold, cold winds with the windchill way below zero F. I stayed in all day except a few hikes next door to check in on Mom. I love days when I can stay at home. I am definitely a homebody. Although I do love to go in our camper too as you well know. It's just another home though with all our familiar stuff. :-)
I sure hope your plants survive this strange winter we've all had. I really like the pieces of china you chose to keep. That teapot, creamers and sugar bowl are sure all really pretty as are the tea cups.
I would love a cup of tea right now since I just took Zoey outside for the last time tonight. If I drink tea this late though, I get heartburn so nope. None for me tonight. :-)
    Have a wonderful Wednesday!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  11. What pretty china you were given. I think you got the "cream" of the crop chosen there. I hope you are staying warm. We had the AC on in the car today. It's a big world!

  14. That wind was so chilly! It drove right through any layers I had on. Today is much better, although still chilly. I bundled up and went for a walk in the sunshine. The blue and white teapot and cream jug are so pretty!

  15. Don't worry, GM! We got your snow for you, lol! I think it was well over a foot. Just dug out last night after two days of snow. Finally got to the post office! I'm getting the same way about my ATCs that you are about your teacups. Not sure what I've shown. I'm way behind. Stay cozy, girl! :)

  16. WOW! That snow looks so pretty. We are spending a week in the mountains and they just had a big snow as there is snow all on the sides of the road. But we missed all the snow by a week. Enjoying the mountains views though. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
