This and That

The day dawned clear and chilly. I took this picture on my walk just before I turned around and headed for home. I had bread rising and needed to be home. I'll take another walk later in the day, this time with my DH.

The sun streamed into the porch where I have various pots of herbs and bulbs protected from the cold nights we've had recently..

I did some baking for the weekend. Scones, mini cheese loaves and an Angel Food cake.

I wanted to take today's teacup in front of the pot of Daffodils but the teacup looks so washed out.

Here's a better shot.

Have a pleasant weekend.   GM

  4. The yellow of the teacup fits nice to the spring-flowers!

I really love this awaking light of early spring - outside and inside.

During the weekend nobody will leave your loving house hungry!

  6. OOOh! The daffodils are so pretty and so is that cup. Springtime is coming!
It was so cold here today and never got out of the teens Farenheit. I stayed in most of the day after I picked Lizzie up for her slumber party tonight with Zoey. :-)
Wishing you a wonderful Saturday. We're supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow so I'm looking forward to a walk. I'll be thinking of you if it actually warms up enough to take a walk and pretend we're strolling together!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  11. Your daffodils are pretty (the ones behind the cup). I saw an advertisement yesterday for spring bulbs and am thinking about buying some. They certainly cheer up the day when one is sick and tired of winter.
Enjoy the results of all that baking you have done. Have a great weekend :) xx

  12. Scones, I've yet to make them, one of these days. That teacup is so cheerful, I like those colors. I could not respond on my blog to your comment. The yarn ball basket sounded really pretty. You are crafty, and you always say you arn't. I like Angel Food Cake, it's so good with strawberries and cream.

  17. I love the little yellow teacup! And your baking looks delish as always. I hope your hubby likes the Andrew Klavan series of spy novels. Even though they're intended for young adults, I loved them. I have them on my Kindle so they were cheaper. ;)
