Happy Valentine's Day

It's the season of cookies...heart-shaped cookies.  Won't you have one?  Which one would you like?

The above pictures are taken from the internet. No cookies were baked here but I did make and decorate 2 dozen chocolate cupcakes. Since Feb. 14 is also middle son's birthday we have double the reasons to celebrate .

We are enjoying another day of sunshine. As we often do on a Sunday we went walking at Fish Trap Creek. We were thrilled to see the River Otters again.

Today's teacup  is one of my favourites.  I love pussy willows.

Thanks for coming by.

I hope you have a lovely Valentines Day.

Granny M.

  1. Beautiful sweet cookies! The cookie-bears are my favourites!

We also enjoyed two days of lovely sunshine after long grey weeks.

The willow.pussicats on the cups are beautiful. I found some willow pussicats and put them in front of my house, first greetings of early spring, a wonderful spiritual time in the year.

  2. Pussy willows are a favourite of mine, too, and are so pretty on the teacup and saucer. I baked a few cookies this year and gave most of them away to the kids and grandkids.

I hope your Valentine's Day is a good one.

  3. Oooh, I love the teacup, too. And the cookies!! I have completely flopped at even thinking about Valentine's Day this year, and didn't send any Valentines to my little grandchildren. Every year I seem to receive one or more from someone. Last year it was a little girl at church. And I didn't get to church today, so if she brought me one I missed it!!

    Happy Valentine's Day, Granny!

  11. Beautiful teacup with pussy willow.
The pussy willows are now beginning to present their flowers to us. Spring will soon be with us, no more snow in sight, only in the mountains.
I wish you all a happy birthday party... the Valentine biscuits look delicious - I would grab them right away :-)))

  17. I was very surprised how BIG otters are. They can be huge! I love them. They were all over in the marinas where I once lived. Those are such pretty cookies that I don't think I could bear to bite into one!
