Garden and Flowers

We've had more than our share of rain this past week. Today we even had thunder which is a rare thing for us. Heavy downpour and then some ice pellets. Crazy Spring weather. Hopefully we'll get some sunshine soon.

During one break in the weather Kate took some pictures of my back garden.

I'm amazed how the tulips have  held up to the weather.  The Leopard's Bane has bloomed for weeks but now is starting to lose petals.

It's been a very ordinary Monday here. I'm rereading my Rosamunde Pilcher books and enjoying them once more before donating them.

Thanks for coming by.

  4. We have also often some "crazy" weather! In April it was very warm, then very cold with snow. Today and the last days the weather was beautiful like in May. The tulips had no problems. But in the West of Germany the fruit-trees had big problems. Here in the Bavarian Forest the flowers on the apple-trees still were a little bit sleeping. Very wise ! :)

  8. We're having crazy spring weather down here in Texas too. It seems it can't just rain it has to storm. Your flowers are lovely, I think you must have a 'green thumb!'

  11. All of that rain seems to have been good for your flowers as they all look so nice.
We could use some of that rain here. I can't remember the last time we've had worthwhile rain.

  12. This cool weather has been good for making flowers last longer, but I'll welcome warmer weather when it comes. I love the Rosamunde Pilcher books and re-read them from time to time, especially Winter Solstice and September.
