A lovely morning to go to the nursery and admire all the beautiful flowers DH drove and patiently waited for us to walk around and look at the Fall arrangements. Here I am with Eldest Daughter Shannon on the left and her daughter Kate on my right.
I chose this basket of Fall Mums with a few other flowers tucked in. I put it on the porch, out of the weather.
It was a pleasant way to spend the morning of my birthday. On Sunday the family will come over and celebrate my 79th. Hard to believe I'm going into my 80th year!!! How did this happen?
Thanks for visiting

ReplyDeleteYou chose a lovely gift for yourself. Happy Birthday! Not quite an octogenerian. Since I turned 80 last month, I am finding it convenient to declare myself "too old for that" more often. Convenient excuse, cop out? I don't care.
ReplyDeleteI like your signs.
Thanks for sharing that lovely 3 generation photo! Hope you have a grand time celebrating your birthday with family on Sunday.

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Mary! It seems we are from the same era. I am 4 days younger! I'm a Virgo and you're a Leo?
ReplyDeleteOh, Happy Birthday! I am glad I am seeing this on your actual birthday. It sounds like a great way to spend your birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Granny! How fun to be out shopping for Fall flowers. Where did summer go? It whizzed by...just like our lives. Hope you have a wonderful birthday and enjoy your last year in the 70's. I'm not too far behind you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely birthday my friend. I love that picture of you and you chose a gorgeous arrangement of flowers and how fun that you could do it with your daughter and granddaughter. So special. You're still a spring chicken! I'm so glad that we met.

Happy Birthday...visiting the plants and flowers with your family is a great way to cellerbrait.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday GM! yes, cleaning the fridge no fun at all. The penny rug matt wasn't a lot of work actually as this was a small project. Hand stitching is required, and I'm not a stitcher so I do a little at a time. Overall I am pleased I actually finished it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Granny Marigold! I hope you have a wonderful day. Visiting a nursery and admiring plants and flowers with like-minded family members is a fun thing to do. Your fall planter is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!🌻
