I changed the look on the sideboard from Spring/Summer.....
....to late Summer.
I notice that the stores are all displaying school supplies. I always looked forward to going back to school. New scribblers, new crayons.....Crayons were only .96 so I got a box just for old times sake.
Oh the thrill of lovely crayons, not yet broken in half and losing their paper wrapper.

Yes, it is definitely coming to the end of summer and time to change the decor. The stores are filled with fall clothing and school supplies. When you change over the display on your treadle sewing machine, can you check the serial number so we can figure out how old it is?

ReplyDeleteThere's something wonderful about new crayons, yellow school pencils, lined paper and notebooks. I haven't been to the store lately but this is the best time to stock up on those things. You made me want to make a trip to Walmart :)
ReplyDeleteI still love new crayons, though I have not bought any in a while...I love it when their points are still sharp. Love the centerpiece on the late summer display.
ReplyDeleteI like the new late summer display on the sideboard. The colors are cheerful. I loved going back to school, especially as a teacher. I loved it when the new schoolbooks would come in and I had the privilege of going through the boxes and sorting it all out.
