The mornings are cool and there's a feeling of Fall in the air. This morning the thermometer read 10C which is about 50F. The chilliest morning this season. The sun shone and we reached 21C. I puttered outside and DH washed the truck.
These are a couple of pictures I took in the dining room. Just a few hints of September.
I know many of you are waiting to get out anything Autumn-ish.
We have a long weekend coming up with Labour Day next Monday. I believe the U.S. also has a holiday on Monday. Anyone else?
More birthday wishes have been coming via the comments and I just want to say THANK YOU. You're all too sweet.
Thank you for coming by and reading my ramblings. GM
Autumn is one of my favourite seasons and here in the UK there are signs it is approaching as some leaves are turning colour.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy these last days of August.
All the best Jan
Did I tell you happy birthday? I can't remember! If not, wishing you the very best year ahead.
ReplyDeleteStill way too hot here, and it just makes me so depressed. Will this summer EVER end?
Love all your Fall things Granny. I will think about digging out all my Fall stuff soon. Now that we're at the end of summer, it seems like it flew by. We had a nice cool summer here, except for about 3 days. Hope we get lots of snow this winter. We are in a tourist area and we will need it. Take care!
ReplyDeleteNo holidays here until the end of October - when everyone will dash off to open up their beach places ready for summer. We are getting a few signs of spring here and I am looking forward to some warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your "ramblings" :) xx
I like your touches of fall but it's waaaay too early here. It was 101 "feels like" here today. No fall decor, just my swimsuit. Just kidding, I wouldn't go out in public in a swimsuit anymore. If I was sure there would be no one at the condo's pook, I would go there and jump in just to cool off. There is a promis of some mid 70's mid-week next week so we plan to go camping for a few days after the crowds are gone from Labor Day here.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Your autumn decor is beautiful! I've been enjoying mine so much! We're back to high temperatures again this week, but by next week we are back down in the70s again!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your ramblings...I love your touches of autumn,, too. I would live a better view of that old sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteLabor Day is coming up for us too, a long weekend for the working people. I'm ready for fall but it will be a while for us {{sigh}}. Your little bit of fall looks lovely and that temp sounds lovelier!! lol
ReplyDeleteAt 67 degrees I had one of the warmest walking mornings!! Yes, it's Labor Day on Monday here too.
ReplyDeleteIt's warming back up today, just in time for the Labor Day weekend , for those who are camping or going to the beach or having family picnics. Sunday is the annual Phosie Gertie family picnic on Whidbey Island.
ReplyDeleteThe flower on my Pics and Pieces blog is thistle, and it is some type of fungi on my Time Stand Still blog.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the cooler weather! Hope you had a great birthday!
