Thursday is our usual grocery shopping day and I was determined to get out of the house. My foot was a bit less swollen and by wearing the biggest slippers I could find around the house I was able to go. Black pants, black socks and slippers ...I doubt anyone even noticed my footwear.
After doing the shopping, coming home and putting things away we went to the thrift store.
Look at this very ornate sofa and love seat. You would need a big room to put these in but they sure were amazing.
Doghouses at $200 each. I've never seen doghouses at the thrift store before!
Then we came upon the Christmas area. The volunteers were just starting to put things out. I browsed but all I bought were 2 Christmas CD's and a jigsaw puzzle.
Here I am leaning on my cane.
Diane was wondering about my mushroom.....I found it in the park, and am definitely not going
to eat it.
Thanks for coming by 😊
Glad to hear you were out and about. I love thrifting. That place you went looks huge!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that you enjoyed getting out of the house today.
ReplyDeletePretty fancy dog houses.
Good for you for getting out and about. My out and about was a walk in the neighborhood and three hours of yard work.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get out of the house. Your slippers don't look like slippers at all and I would think that no one noticed!
ReplyDeleteGood to get out and about. Be kind to your foot!
ReplyDeleteImprovement is good!

How good to see you out and about. I hope your foot continues to get better. I am always amazed at how lovely your thrift store is set up....ours is so junky in comparison....things just thrown on the shelves.

I don't think anyone would notice your foot as it's camoflauged very well! :-) I'm glad you were able to get out for awhile but equally happy it's propped up again. Those sofa's are very pretty and from the photo don't look like they've been used much. You would have to have a pretty specific type of decor for them though. Preferably no little kids with red kool-aid. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
So glad you got to go out for a bit and do some shopping. Sure hope your foot is feeling much better soon. Glad you're not eating that mushroom!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos and most the photo with you! Very elegant and nice! Brave and never giving up and always open for fine things, plants and decorations. Best wishes for good healing!
ReplyDeleteChristmas-time is approaching...
Glad to see you getting out and about - just take care you don't overdo things :) xx
ReplyDeleteYou have a very superior Thrift shop!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a nice time on your little outing. Glad you were able to manage with your foot bothering you. Enjoy your purchases.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you were able to get out for a few hours. A change of scenery is always good, isn't it? Being able to do the shopping must have helped you feel like you were contributing to the cause of keeping the home going and then to be able to go out to the thrift store...well, that would be the icing on the cake...pure fun! I have to say that your thrift store is so nicely done. A lot of the thrift stores here in the US are not arranged as neatly.
ReplyDeleteLook at you all out & about. Sounds like you had a good time, & went several places. Your thrift store is laid out nicely & with some thought, I've not seen one here in the USA, they really could do a nicer job at displays. Take care, Faith @FarmhouseWorthy
ReplyDeletePleased that you were able to get out for a short while.
ReplyDeleteMy good wishes for the weekend.
All the best Jan
Glad you are able to get out and about. The thrift store looks like a big place. I also like the sofa and loveseat.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got out and about. Take good care of that foot and you'll be dancing up a storm soon. Love your thrift store...it always looks so organized and fun to shop in.
ReplyDeleteI love those sofas! I cannot imagine them here, with Copper, not even sure without him. To me they would be so fitting for an older home. That is a lot of Christmas stuff. I would love to visit that thrift store.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you were able to get out of the house... it just feels good.
ReplyDeleteFresh air and seeing something other than “just” the four walls.
Well done.
Hug Viola
