A Kitchen Project and a Haircut

I hope you had a lovely weekend. We started a kitchen project that involves covering (painting) the wallpaper border and putting a new one (not as wide) over top. Don't know if it will work but if not we'll have to go to Plan B.  When I chose this border I wasn't sure if I liked it but decided I'd see how it looked once it was up. That was at least 15 years ago!!  Time for a change.

It was time for a change for my hair too. Granddaughter Kate cut it when she came yesterday.
(Excuse my messy laundry room).

We had a nice walk early this morning. 2*C with no wind and no rain. Great start to this the last full week of the month.

Thanks for visiting and leaving lovely comments.  They brighten my day.  GM

Almost forgot the teacup. This one has Pussy Willows.

  2. Your hair is beautiful! The long style also was fine, but I think now you feel fresh and new like the new year - -

The old wallpaper border is very nice, I want to see the new one, soon! :) 15 years are a long time but running so fast.

I love the he cup with the Pussy willows!

    Your laundry room looks clean!!

  3. I always did love that wallpaper border but mine was removed when we did our kitchen reno. Lucky you having a hairdresser "in-house". Will you wear your hair up in a clip now that it's shorter?

  5. It is heartening to have some spiffing-up sorts of changes in January. I am making some of those in my house and each one gives a little more energy to make one more...

  8. I've not had my haircut since my husband died. It is really getting way too long now and I must find a hairdresser somewhere.
Good luck with your kitchen project :) xx

  10. A fresh haircut is such a mood lifter. I love pussy willows - they were such a welcome sight when I was growing up in the interior of BC. The teacup is so delicately coloured - beautiful!

  12. It seems you have spring on your mind. I am trying not to think about it yet, but I find myself wandering out to the garden just to see what I can see. You have great hair, and the length is perfect...not too short and not too long.
