Sometimes when it's too early to go to bed and my eyes are too tired to let me read I sit at my computer and visit various blogs that are not my 'usual' ones or I go to Pinterest and while away the time looking at pretty pictures. I found the Winnie the Pooh quote there and liked it so now it's my (only) photo of the day.
It has been a blustery 24 hours and too cold for comfortable walking so we went to walk in the mall. It's open for an hour or so before the stores open ( which is 11 on Sundays) so folks can get their walking done. There are even plaques on (in?) the floor with names of those who are regulars and have logged 10,000 km or more.
As for us, we much prefer walking in the fresh air.
Lately I've noticed that there are blogs where I can't comment and I wonder if anyone knows why. I think it's only on those blogs that say " To sign in with Google" and also "Post comments(atom"). Just this week 2 more blogs have had that problem namely Linda Letters and Happy@Home. I can read but not comment.Added to my frustration now I can't even access Gretchen Johanna's blog. I don't know what is going on.
I hope everyone is having a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Thanks for coming by, GM
Wonderful and so very true, the sentence like a prayer from Winnie the Pooh! Today we had fine calm and quiet cold weather with some beautiful white snow on the ground, but we expect for tomorrow some storm and rain and snow. Weather does, what weather likes! :)))
ReplyDeleteThe teacup is special!
I also make this experience with Blogger. Try to scroll a little bit and tip on a certain field, maybe suddenly comments are open! I made this experience last time for two times. I'm not a good PC-woman :)
I love the Winnie the poo sign. YES, I am so thankful. I am sad that other's blog post never pop up in my emails like they used too. I purposely go to my reading list to see posts. I have also noticed that some comments made on my post are anonymous but they sign their name and those that don't it's so funny because I can pretty much tell who it was. Blogs like everything else has got to where it takes a rocket scientist to know how to maneuver in it. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why you can't comment on my blog. I have the same trouble on Far Side's blog, which sometimes allows me and sometimes doesn't. I have sometimes tried to retype as much as three times, but I usually just give up. I have discovered that I I can get to the refresh button I can sometimes get in.
ReplyDeleteYes, we have so much to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteI'm not having a problem commenting. How frustrating it must be for you not to be able to comment.
I have the same issues with a few blogs. Some I was able to comment on for years and suddenly could not and some I never could comment. I"ve done a lot of research and investigating but have found no answers to the "why" or the "how to fix". So, I've just resigned myself to the fact that I just can't comment on some blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe quote you found is good to remember. We have much for which to be grateful. Yesterday was nippy for walking, too, and I completed my walk in record time!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed some visitors to my blog have their comments show as Anonymous which is very odd. Hope the Blogger gurus soon fix the comment difficulties.
I don't know about these computers, I think they have a mind of their own. Enjoyed Winnie the Pooh!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a fancy tea cup today! Brrr so cold here.....about 12 below tonight and staying below zero tomorrow. Will be glad when this cold snap ends in about 7 days! Take good care and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to comment on many blogs but do not have a Google account. Thank you for mentioning this. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMany of us have had issues with making comments since Blogger changed things a few weeks ago. Some of your followers may be able to make helpful suggestions. Sometimes I enjoy a little blog hopping. I think that's how I found you! I love the quote...and the teacup.
ReplyDeleteWhen I go to Dubai to visit my son it is so hot sometimes that I go walking in the Mall! I have done quite a lot of kilometres there!
ReplyDeleteIt sometimes happens to me that I can’t comment on blogs, blogger is sometimes not working properly then it comes back to normal again.
Gorgeous tea cup set!!
ReplyDeleteBlogger and commenting has been an issue for a long time now. I don't know why they changed the format...it's frustrating.
As for walking the mall...nope, not us. The mall is nothing but a Petrie dish
Brrr! It's very cold here as well with schools closed due to -45C windchills. A good day to make a pot of soup and hunker down inside where it's warm - yes, we have so much to be grateful! Ever mindful of what is happening in the Ukraine and how they are managing to survive their winter.

Winni Puh... such a nice quote. Have you seen the movie "Christopher Robin"?
ReplyDeleteYour teacup is beautiful.
Many greetings to you. I wish you a happy week. Viola
Blogger is a real nuisance, paarticularly with calling people 'anonymous'. I think we may all have to sign our comments soon.
ReplyDeleteDear Winnie!
Hello! Sometimes I like to do a little blog hopping too, especially when I have a little more time. I'm sorry about the commenting issue, I understand it is very, very frustrating. Do you have a gmail account? Sometimes it helps to have an email through gmail, to be able to comment. I'm not sure why that is! Walking at the mall is much better than on ice. I walked this morning, -6 and it was chilly; however, I was all bundled up and warm. Blessings to you today!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet picture and quote. I have always had a soft spot for Winnie the Pooh.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew why you are having trouble leaving comments. Until you mentioned it I didn't realize it was happening when you visit here. I can only tell you that I haven't changed anything on my end. It is so frustrating when things like that happen. I hope that it corrects itself soon. I always enjoy hearing from you,
How frustrating not being able to comment. I've noticed a few coming through lately as Anonymous when they used to mention their blog names. Hope it gets sorted soon.
ReplyDeleteWinnie the Pooh is gorgeous, and that quote is so true. After the recent storm here in nearby Auckland, a lot of displaced people will be echoing his comments.
Take care, Mxx
I know my blog is troublesome because it's on WordPress :-( I hope things start working better soon.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that with Blogger blogs there are so many different configurations of settings. Some blogs seem to have the old settings, unchanged from years ago, and some have no option but Google for profile choice. Some ask me to check all the bicycles or traffic lights, more than once! And a few months ago I had to post as "'Anonymous" on many Blogger blogs because they wouldn't accept my "credentials." None of them saves my log in info anymore, so I have to type it in every time. I'm getting faster at that!
Hi GM...yes, there is so much to be thankful for and not to be overlooked....I'm especially thankful for my Partner- Chris. Best Wishes.
ReplyDeleteBlogger is causing many of us issues with commenting.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed on some that I visit I can only comment as anonymous! I don't know why ...
Hoping this comment comes through ok.
All the best Jan
That is a beautiful teacup at the end of your post. I just went and did a google search about why you cannot comment, and not finding much that makes sense. Said blogger uses 3rd party cookies. But that doesn't make sense since you can comment on some.
ReplyDeleteI too had a problem commenting on a Blog but when I went back hours later my comment had appeared. Maybe it's all on a go slow.
ReplyDeleteI think it all depends on which comment form the blogger has and what kind of a device you are using...phone, Ipad, desktop etc... I cannot leave comments on my Ipad to blogs where the author can reply.
