Cleaning up

I've been cleaning up and getting rid of things I no longer want or need. Years ago I made a number of these boxes. I think at the time they were referred to as 'printer's boxes'. My DH built them and I had fun decorating them. Some, like the second one, was specifically for Valentine's Day and others like the last one, for Autumn.  He made some two-sided ones but most were singles.  Now they are at the thrift store and I hope someone will want them.

Sorting and deciding what to donate and what to keep is an ongoing job.

Have a great Thursday

  2. It's sure a big job and difficult sometimes to make those decisions but once something is gone I rarely miss it or wish it back. We got rid of twenty something truckloads when we moved from our house in Spokane and I have missed very, very few things. Nothing that was worth moving us cross country anyway.
The boxes are cute and I can see that your husband enjoyed making them for you and you did great decorating them. Someone new will enjoy having them now!

  4. I like your boxes. I also do the same twice a year and donate things but it is difficult to choose!

  5. Love these! Very appreciative of the need to not keep everything. Very wise.

  7. Letting go is not hard once you decide you are ready. Deciding is the hard part.

  9. I think that so many beautiful hings decorate your friendly house. So you can say Goodbye to these nice boxes. They did their job and now they shall enjoy someone else. They are very nice and have a personal story, and I think it is not easy to give them away.

You are so right: Sorting and deciding what to donate and what to keep is an ongoing job!!

  10. Darling boxes, how nice of you to donate them. I’m sure they will go home with some delighted customer soon. It is one of the most difficult projects I have going on right now…what to donate and what to keep….so far….’keep’ is winning. Ugh.
Have a lovely day. xo, V.

  12. Those boxes are so cute! I bet it is hard to let them go. I am having that same issue cleaning out stuff. At first it was just junk but now I am down to items I have saved and thought Iwould keep forever. Like old sad irons and antiques...it is hard to let go of those.
