Others had been seeing the goose families and yesterday we were fortunate to see 2 different ones.
I know they hang around even in winter ( instead of flying South) and sure make lots of poopy mess but when the goslings appear it's so cute.

Gorgeous goslings! And I love the smell of lilac but it does not grow well here (a friend further south has some in her garden, along with peonies which also won't easily grow here).

Sweet little baby "gooses" as Piper used to say! Our lilacs are all blooming around here too. Dennis and I went on a walk last night and we kept stopping and smelling the lilac bushes. It's way too fleeting of a time that they bloom.

The geese and their chicks look so sweet! I love lilacs. When I was a teen, there was a large lilac bush that grew outside of my bedroom window. I would open the window and my bedroom was filled with the lilac fragrance!
