Life goes on

The day dawned clear and beautiful. Hard to believe the storm that passed through on the weekend.

I'm posting a couple of pictures which show some of the surrounding areas.

Life goes on, doesn't it?  For me this meant the usual Friday morning grocery shopping, some housework and a lunch visit with a couple of my children coming by.  My heart goes out to all those whose lives have been turned upside down and now have to pick up the pieces..

  1. Horrific. I feel so deperately sorry for those who have had their homes and possessions simply taken away by water.

  2. Wow...the water from the storm looks so much like what we experience oftentimes. Hope everything dries up quickly and people can resume living.

Another purple cup!! My favorite color!!

Now I see also, how it is in your region. I am so sorry! O the cows! my sister saw also cows in water.

I have to say, that I love these high mountains with the snow - -

  5. It's been so awful to see the photos and hear the news. But, as you've said, life goes on. We can be thankful for normality. Another lovely teacup. I do love violets.

  6. The sunrise is a beauty.
Oh my, you sure got a lot of flooding from that storm. Seems strange to see the flooding with the sun shining now.
    Those poor cows!

  7. My life goes on also, with Friday breakfast with friends, and then some shopping for holiday materials, while hundreds shiver in shelters or flooded homes.

  9. Flood waters are so devastating and leave so much damage behind them. I feel for those who have to suffer through them.
Love the violets on your cup, and your sunrise photo is magnificent.
