Saturday Chit Chat

We have Chickadees nesting in one of the birdhouses in the front garden. I peeked and there are 5 tiny eggs in a soft and fluffy nest.

Some have wondered  about my row of outside tea pots that are on the fence beside the walkway to the back yard.  Here you can see how they're protected from  the  weather   ( not that they're not
weatherproof :)  and also  from being knocked down. The first one has no lid and in winter I had some greens in it. I see some are still there.

Whatever your weekend involves I hope it's a good one.

  1. Babies! How exciting. I hope all is good for them and they all survive the top-turvy world they're joining. I enjoyed seeing your teapot lineup too.
I still have no voice and am coughing like crazy. My weekend is staying inside and trying to stay cool.
    Blessings,

  2. 5 eggs???!! How super is that? Do keep us updated on all the upcoming events...exciting.
I would still think your pots are set precariously. But, I'm one that always catastrophies.
    Loving your viola graphic

    1. I don't remove them for winter. So far nothing has happened to them and they've been out there at least 2 winters. ( Anyway, I don't know where I'd store them !!!).

  7. So nice to be able to watch the baby birds.
The Eye is on the Sparrow reminded my of my grandma - it was one of her favorite hymns.

  9. Five little eggs! I hope they turn into five little chickies and manage to fledge safely. Such a thrill watching nature "do its thing."
Love your outdoor teapots - and I see you have lots of room for collecting some more! :) xx

  11. What great way to start my day, reading about a chickadee couple with their tiny eggs in a fluffy nest, and then looking at pictures of
your pretty teapots on the fence shelf. I thought the birdhouse near the fence was pretty. Is that the Chickadee Family residence?

  13. Oh you're going to have fun watching the nest and the eggs. 5 in one nest. Is that a lot? I got my Hummingbird feeders out of the basement yesterday and need to get to the hardware store for food to fill them and get them up. What a wonderful spot to display your pots. They're really cute all lined up like that. Happy rest of the wkend.

    1. I think 5 is about the right number for most Chickadees.
