This and That

The weather is strange today, rain then a bit of sunshine, then back to showers. Last night we had high winds and when we walked this morning a tree had blown down over the path and  branches of other trees lay everywhere.  On our way back we heard the call of some swans and looking up we saw 8 flying over. They must have been on the lake but we hadn't seen them.

I made a cheesecake for tomorrow also made another batch of granola. Now I will put my feet up for a while and read. Later I want to put some Autumn decorations away starting with the ones on the dollhouse. Eldest daughter came for lunch yesterday and put up tiny Christmas lights . I see I have to tuck the power cord behind the house. I tried but couldn't get the lights to show on a picture. But they do light up and look cute.
Thanks for stopping by,  GM

Some flowers from the grocery store.

 I like this.

  1. I really liked that last graphic. No truer words. Store bouquet is lovely. And, I like the idea of putting mini-lights...pretty.
I just put out a turkey for our Thanksgiving decor (stuffed, not real) 🙂🦃🙂

  4. Since we really don't celebrate Halloween much, the fall decor that I put out in October stays up until Christmas goes up.
Your dollhouse is so cute. I'm hoping to put some lights on our apartment balcony. We'll see.
    Blessings,

  5. We had heavy rain last night, but thankfully not much wind. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert so I am thinking it is about time to make one, even though I don't eat much dairy anymore. So, Christmas is beginning to show up at your house. I love the doll house. And, the lights do show up very well.

  6. ...enjoy what you have :-)) How true.
Your dollhouse is wonderful. I had one as a kid and loved playing with it :-))
We still have beautiful autumn weather and as long as there is no night frost the dahlias, roses and beautiful yellow and orange marigolds will be in bloom in the garden.
We have a gingerbread market this weekend in our little town... there are 8 small bakers here who only bake gingerbread all year round... and the market is always before Advent comes, the whole town is full of stalls of all kinds and the 8 gingerbread bakers are on the market square. Of course, the small bakeries are also open. It's a huge crowd.
And then I'll start off comfortably... I'm lucky to live right there where the delicacies are :-))) Good Sunday to you.

  7. The other day we had very strange weather -- a bright sunshiny afternoon, and then suddenly a light misty rain began to fall. Not even a sprinkle, just a mist, falling. It lasted about 5 minutes and went away. We're too warm for November, IMO. I'm ready for more sweater weather!

  9. The Christmas lights do show up, very nice!I was thinking of changing my table decor now that Halloween has past and most of the leaves are down to move towards Thanksgiving. That's about as much decorating as I do.
