Keeping on with my decorating, the sideboard and treadle sewing machine look very much the same as they did last year. I added a few new things but mostly it's all my old favourites.
The snow and ice we got earlier in the week was beginning to melt but then we got another, heavier dump of snow. Schools were closed. My eye appointment was postponed. The news was full of tales of vehicles stranded or worse, in accidents. Winter has arrived, no doubt about it.
We celebrated our anniversary very quietly. It was our 59th. We were very young and look very serious. Our church didn't allow photos during the actual wedding so this was taken afterwards, hence the empty background.
That's it for today. Thanks for coming by, GM
Happy wedding Anniversary ! For us it will be 40 years next year.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had snow for Xmas as it was in my childhood
Congrats on 59 years of life together!!! How awesome is that.

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary - 59 years - a long time! :)
ReplyDeleteHard to believe December is here already.
I am decorating too, and just about everything goes in the same place every year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Hopefully you won't be snowbound next year to celebrate 60!
CONGRATULATIONS! And you sound like you still get along! Even better!
ReplyDeleteCongratulation!! 59 years!! You look a little serious but very very beautiful! My dear husband and me also married in December, the 27th! 42 years...Happy December!!!!
ReplyDeleteO you had a snow-catastrophe! Wow! Here in the Bavarian Forest it is calm and not so cold, foggy. Maybe some snow will come next days.
Your decorations are beautiful. I've been putting up a few today too. And 59 years together! Happy Anniversary! Congratulations. You make a very handsome couple. Your dress is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Oh I love your wedding picture....so beautiful. Love your holiday decorations too....so fun to put them out isn't it? I love doing that too....I seem to always put favorite Christmas items in the same place!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteMany years! Wonderful anniversary! Churches have changed a lot in terms of allowing pictures ❤️ of course your marriage and the stability of it is much more important in the long run. I am slowly putting up Christmas decorations as well!
ReplyDeleteThat is a precious picture, Happy Anniversary!! We'll celebrate our 60th on the 21st. Hope you're enjoying happy and blessed days.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! What memories that photo must trigger. Christmas is coming slowly around here, too. I sometimes think I should change things up a little, but I rarely do.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! 59 years - Glory to God! I'd say it's not a bad thing to be serious at one's wedding. Your sobriety probably went a long way toward the success of your marriage.
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Anniversary! it is wonderful that you have made it 59 yrs.
