Roses and a Rhodo

This huge old Rhododendron is not far from our house but it's not the usual way we walk. This morning we made a point of doing just that.

On our way back home I took these pics....the first is of the picket fence and roses between us and the very big house next door.  All the roses are hardy Rugosas including the white one below.

 Thanks for popping by

Have a lovely day,   GM

  8. Gorgeous roses. I do miss my rose garden in Spokane. It was right under our bedroom window and when it was nice enough for the windows to be open you could smell the fragrance when you were laying in bed.
That rhododendron is huge. It's amazing!
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy

  9. So wonderful! I was wondering if rose flowers grow bigger in years of heavy rainfall? Some in my neighborhood are bigger in diameter than I have ever seen before.

  13. We are sitting on glider, and isn't it lovely? I will use the crochet washcloth for a table runner or placemat. I thought it was to large, but there are directions for scaling it down in the pattern.
