Decorating the Christmas Tree

Happy Sunday, I hope you are enjoying a relaxing day.  It was freezing when we left for our walk but no wind so it was great for walking.  Over the water there was mist which always looks so mysterious.

Here at home the tree is up and decorated.  All  that's left to do is put up the nativity set(s).

I couldn't quite get the entire tree in one picture it seems.

I'm glad you took the time to visit today,  GM

  1. I put up our tree and decorations Sat. Usually put it up much later!
Small one for us, just 4 feet.

  2. I cleared away the autumn decorations today and dusted shelves. Next we have to clear the shelves of the pottery collection so the Santa collection can go up. Tom worked on outside lights. The wreath is hung. It's transition time.

  5. Your tree looks great! That's a task that I'm always happy to be done with. This year we are delayed in putting up our tree because we need some minor furnace work done and the tree would be quite close to that door.....the workers aren't always careful so we decided to wait until they're done before we do the tree. Gosh....hope they come soon! We do have our Nativity scene up though!

  8. A chilly winter's walk, and trimming the tree... those things seem to go together <3 I just today ordered a tree that looks just about that shape and height. I hope it will be nice and easy for me to assemble!

  9. Ahhh! Your tree is so beautiful. After taking the kids to the airport today to head back to London, we came home and I put away all of the Thanksgiving decorations and started putting out Christmas. I have the Nativity up and most of my snowman collection. I still have a few other nativities and snowmen to sprinkle around. The tree will go up on Tuesday and Piper will help me decorate it on Saturday when she stays with us for the weekend. She asked this year if she could help decorate the tree. They did their entire house today.
I hope your Monday is perfection for you. I vounteered to babysit 12-15 babies or toddlers tomorrow morning at a ladies event. Hope my back holds up.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  15. Your tree is beautiful. We always have a real tree and don't put it up until a couple of weeks before Christmas. And we're having heat pump heads installed on the 11th and 12th, so I don't want to have too much stuff around to get dusty before then. I hope you have a great week, GM.
