It was on November 30, 1963 that these two very young people embarked on a new adventure. So young and clueless, nevertheless we made it and have reached our 60th anniversary.

We'll celebrate quietly with our family. I remember my parents 25th anniversary; they had a big church "do". I think that was the way it was done then.
December is just a day away. Are you frantically shopping and baking? Or are you going into the Christmas season organized and relaxed? Maybe somewhere in between.

ReplyDeleteWe reached the 60 year milestone in June of this year, married in our late teens. Full of lofty illusions about marriage, no clue regarding the situations we would inevitably meet over the years. How wonderful that you are together and have reached this landmark occasion.

ReplyDeleteAs for entering the Christmas season and I think at this point, I would say I'm probably somewhere in between. I'm just taking my time and enjoying each phase of what I am doing.

^60th! Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteWe are almost finished with decorating, just the big tree to do. Grandson Isaac stopped by today to help move some furniture out of the way. Next week we start cookie baking. The shopping is mostly done, on line and delivered.
Happy 60th to you both! What a tremendous milestone to accomplish together! Lots of work, but such a blessing. You both look wonderful, and I know staying busy really keeps the body well. We are doing well here, the calendar is definitely filling up as Christmas now is just around the corner. Many blessings to you dear friend!

ReplyDeleteI have cards mailed, and everything wrapped except one gift for Piper that is supposed to arrive on Monday. Decorations are up in and outside. I like to be done if possible going into December because December is busy enough. We have a concert, two Bible studies and a dinner party just next week on top of normal duties with Mom. So it's nice to have things done early.
