Monday Chit Chat

Monday again and for me at least it means the usual laundry.  I'm so happy that it's cooler today. One feels much more energized than when it's so hot. Who knows, I may even make a supper that involves turning on the oven!!

 The first nasturtiums are opening.....

 ...and the first morning glories

Did you remember to look out for the full moon yesterday? Sadly we had cloudy skies. It was the Full Buck Moon. The internet has this to say  "In late spring male deer start to grow new antlers, and these new antlers, coated with velvety fur, can be fully visible by July."

I hope your week is off to a good start.

Thanks for coming by

  3. I haven't thought about nasturiums in years! I grew those so long ago - I shall plan on getting some next year!
Texas is cooler today and we are having a ball at the ranch. It rained and stormed some today and many of the goats with their babies came up to our place to get out of the rain. We have a huge carport and they spent several hours up here with us!

  4. The washing woman is very hard working! I remember my mother and grandmother! . . .
Lovely flowers! I love the colors and clear form!
I could see here in the Bavarian Forest this July-fullmoon! It was a very BIG moon, a seldom phenomenon!

  6. They say the sun rises for everyone, and the moon too! It is 7:20 p.m. and I see it from my terrace emerging on the Horizon of the Atlantic Ocean.
Did you know that nasturtiums are edible? They have a slight spicy flavor.

  7. We viewed the full moon from our room at Paradise Inn on Mt Rainier. It was our night light.

  8. I DID turn the oven on for dinner. We went to the brand new Costco that just opened last week while we were gone. Our freezer was virtually empty of meet so we did a small stock up and I splurged on their pasta/alfredo sauce/grilled chicken that's already prepared and just needs baked. I get one every 3-4 months or so because they aren't inexpensive, but it is SO good and lasts Dennis and I for two meals. At around $17.00 or so that's not too bad but still a bit pricey.
I'll need to do laundry in a day or two. I did it all when we returend on Saturday night but it's already piling up again.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  10. I love morning glories!! I had some a few years ago climbing up a trellis by the porch. They were so pretty to look at while sitting on the swing. I've never eaten any nasturtiums, I would sure give it a try if the opportunity ever presented itself. Hope you have a great day.

  11. We had so much smoke that the moon was just a hazy orange light. It was actually pretty interesting.

  16. Monday was laundry day here, too...and, may I just say, I am so thankful that my laundry day wasn't nearly as laborious as was the lady's who is in the picture! :) Your flowers are beautiful. We love nasturtiums here, too. My husband has found so many different colored varities.
