One of my Amaryllis decided to bloom. Her blooms are so heavy that I've had to prop up the stalk that holds them. Now I noticed that another Amaryllis has a flower stalk ( scape) emerging.
I have just 2 Dahlias, both are in pots on the porch.
I don't sew but if I did I'd try making this pretty apron that I saw on Pinterest.
Thanks for visiting,
Have a pleasant weekend

Beautiful photographs of the amaryllis and dahlia.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
Pretty blooms. Oh I like that apron too. Red is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe apron is like from good old times, when women loved to make good work in the kitchen. Should be modern again!
I just love that Amaryllis and your dahlias are beautiful too. You seem to be surrounded by beautiful flowers! And I love seeing them in your posts!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful! I would be happy with either one. That apron is cute...I have been in the mood to make one and don't know if I got here with my apron patterns or not. I hope I did. It has been a long time since I made one, but they are a favorite thing to make.
ReplyDeleteI really like dahlias but currently there are not any in our garden - I might have to suggest to son that he buys one or two!
ReplyDeleteThat apron is really pretty :)
(I see your first comment (from K-J-) is identical to ones I have been receiving. I'm suspicious!)
I love that apron too!! I wear a lot of aprons - to garden, paint, cook and a couple just because they are pretty!
ReplyDeleteHmm... I just recognized a Plant Coveting temptation in myself. Merely looking at your dahlia made me think once again that I want to have one again, I *need* one. Well, I will resist that thought, because just this week I bought quite a few plants which I haven't even found a place for yet!!

Your blooms are gorgeous - it is so nice to enjoy beautiful blooms throughout the summer! And I love that apron too! I don't wear aprons as much in the summer, but love them in the fall and winter months. Your tea cups in your banner photo is gorgeous! Hopefully you are staying cool in this hot weather!
ReplyDeleteWe force Amaryllis to bloom in winter but I think they are happy blooming in summer. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteDahlias are such pretty flowers, and they come in so many colours and shapes. Your blooms are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWow they are beautiful! Such wonderful color.
ReplyDeleteThat is one sweet apron.

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous, you must have a green thumb. The apron is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty Amaryllis!
ReplyDeleteYour Amaryllis is beautiful. Mine is doing well this summer but no buds I'm just happy it's growing because I have had no experience with growing them before.
ReplyDeleteLoving those beautiful flowers! I used to sew but was no seamstress. I could sew enough to get by. Have sewn in years. The apron is a cutie for sure. Happy Monday dear GM. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
