Cleaning Up and a Discovery

Happy St Patrick's Day.

We're currently enjoying some clear days. It was zero this morning (Celsius) but if it's like yesterday we'll see double digit temps this afternoon.  A shelf in my garden shed fell and some things were broken, others were in a mess. I got that tidied up yesterday.

Outside, in the back of my shed, I keep all my empty flower pots, bags of soil etc..  DH and Youngest Son are making a closet so I can tuck a lot of the unsightly things away. Another reason for putting things behind a door is that Miss Kitty has knocked down pots from the high shelves that she insists exist for her to nap on.

I'm planning on doing a bit of baking today then at lunch Eldest Daughter and Youngest Son will be here.  I think it's going to be a very pleasant day. I hope yours is as well.   GM

About the difficulties I've been having with posting comments on some blogs. I have been seeing a small box in the upper left hand corner of my screen that asked me if I'd allow 'cookies'.  Yesterday I wondered if clicking 'yes' would be helpful and it was!! I'm afraid I'm so not techy that I only know about real cookies. Nevertheless I'm pleased to have what seems like the solution to my problem.

  3. It would not be fun to find a shelf had fallen, let alone to find things broken.

I hope your lunch with your kids was fun!

  6. Reading about your shelf falling reminds me of the time a rack in our closet came loose. It forced me to take care of a clearing out project I had on my list. Kitties like to claim any spot that they fit, don’t they? Well, I would rather have the freshly-baked homemade variety of cookies myself. I hope this will take care of the problem for you.

  8. So sorry to hear that one of your shelves fell down and broke some things. I hope you can glue your kitty back together, if she was on it! :) Glad to hear that you are figuring out your blogging problems with other blogs. I go along just fine for awhile on my computer, and then all of a sudden one day, something weird will happen, which takes me a long time to figure out. Such is life with computers I guess. Hope your baking turns out well. It always looks soooo good. Enjoy your company!

  9. I hope that lunch went well, as I'm sure it did. How fun to have your kids able to stop in for lunch. Two of three of ours live so far away.
I'm so sorry about the shelf falling and I hope nothing special was damaged. I'm so glad you figured out the cookie thing was the problem. I'll take some of your home-baked cookies instead too!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  12. Yep,accept all 3rd party cookies and it should work like a "dream". And I think the "anonymous" will stop also...when you leave a comment. Maybe?

  14. hi GM, I have received your comments, because there was a lag time between when you made them, and I picked them up is why you didn't see them. Thank you for always visiting and leaving a calling card.

  16. What a shame that your shelf fell. I do enjoy peeking into your garden shed. It looks like a very fun spot to hang out.
I am so glad you were able to figure out the commenting problem and I was thrilled to see your comment today. Like you, I can relate to chocolate chip cookies much better than the techy type.

  18. I'm with you on technology! My computer updated itself and then I had all sorts of problems! I use Google most of the time but after restarting my laptop, I clicked on Micrsoft Edge. No problems there! Then a day or two later I tried Google again - same thing happened. I am thankful for a son is computer savvy and will ask him to look it all over next time he visits.
