What's happening in my Kitchen

Our snow is melting and we even had some sunshine earlier.  I've been busy baking and making jam.
It makes the kitchen so cozy.

I made this lemon loaf for the weekend  when we had extended family over for tea. Actually I made 2 and this is all that's left. The recipe came from a site called A Pretty Life and was simply called an easy lemon loaf. She has a number of recipes that I mean to try one day.

Impossible Pumpkin pie is a great favourite of my DH.

We were out of jam for our morning toast so today I made Strawberry Jam and a few jars of Orange and Lemon Marmalade.  That should do for a while  The strawberries were from the freezer.

Since I still am unable to comment on several of your blogs ( it's so frustrating) I'll just post a couple of comments here.

Happy@Home...I love the deals you found at the thrift store. The nativity set that came from Bethlehem is a wonderful find and the Easter decor "eggs" are so sweet.

Linda (Reeder)  I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you as you prepare for your surgery next week. Wish you  the best results!!

Diane in northern Wis.  ...I'm so glad you found the Gladys Tabor book and enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your offer of sending it to me. That's super sweet ( but I already have that one).

Thank you for visiting and leaving lovely comments. I appreciate each one.

I'll leave you with this little gem....  It made me smile, hope you like it.   GM

  3. Even a little sunshine is such a boon! I bet your family all get a happy feeling when you start working in the kitchen, even before the good smells start to emanate from there. :-)

  4. I'm grapefruit too, unless auto-correct makes it worse!!! :-)
Your making looks SO good. I made a coffee cake a couple of days ago and we finished it off pretty fast. I don't bake often because I REALLY need to lose weight and I love sweets too much.
We're having very, very nice weather right now but it's supposed to turn colder next week. I need to enjoy this while it's here.
Have a lovely Friday my dear friend.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  11. It looks like your kitchen is the place to be. So many tasty looking treats. I am going to look for that lemon loaf. May have to make it with my last lemon. I remember making a few different impossible pies, although I have never seen a recipe for pumpkin. I'll bet that is yummy.
I'm sorry that you are still unable to comment over here. Frustrating! I am glad, however, that you are still visiting. Have a wonderful weekend.
