Do You Remember.....

Walking around the lake and going for groceries left me tired out this morning. Where is the energy I used to have?  Gone, like a lot of these things from the past that I wonder if you remember.

I hope your weekend is going well.  Let me know how many of these items from the past you remember.

Thanks for visiting,  GM

  6. Nostalgia!

I remember the beater, the record-machine, the "turned-out" hair of women and "salt and pepper"!

When we get elder, we have enough done in our life, so it is normal, that we can need more rest. I don't want to be young again.

  9. I remember them all, my first electric skillet was just like the one pictured. Long ago and far away. :) I don't know where energy goes as we get older, I lost mine a while back. {{giggles}} Hope you're enjoying a good weekend.

  11. Yep. I remember all of those things too. I finally gave up my hand held beater that belonged to my Grandma because the handle was broken and kept cutting my hand. We tried several wyas to fix it but it was unfixable. A fun walk down the streets of my childhood!

  12. Oh dear, must be getting old! I remember all of those and still have the egg beater and ice cube maker. Hard now to think that we used to have ashtrays dotted all around the house :)

  13. The beaters! Such an effort compared to the ones we use now!

  14. I still have my ice cube tray like that and the same with the stand-up ashtray which we have beside the paper shredder - a handy place to put the staples in that we remove from papers before they get shredded! I wonder where my egg beater went? I also still have a potato ricer though I never use it. Somehow hard to part with it though I don't know why!

  18. Oh yes I do remember many! Marty and I were just talking about those ice trays. I wish I had one just because I like it! I used to have my granny's salt and pepper shaker just like the ones you showed. Over the years they got tossed I am sure. Love this stuff! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  21. I remember them all. It was a lovely walk down memory lane to see them again. My parents had a stereo just like that one. Seems funny now to see how huge they were.
